This gets brought up a lot, and I don't think its fair to Bylsma. Their 'embarrassing effort and collapse' was a 1-0 loss to CANADA in the semi's, a hard fought match that could've gone either way. They were there to avenge a loss from four years ago, which is probably why they didn't care about bronze.

Not saying Bylsma is a great coach, not saying Bylsma over Blashill, nor am I denying that the talent he's had was a huge part of his success. All I'm saying is that his performance at the Olympics wasn't a complete disaster.

The bronze game is exactly what I'm talking about. Its the Olympics...you don't throw a baby tantrum and stop trying because you can only get a Bronze. THAT was the embarrassment and I partially blame Bylsma. It betrays character issues. Keep him away from this team.

Exactly. Also, despite the score, there was never any doubt Canada was losing that game while watching it. 100% different feel from the game in 2010. Canada dominated, just couldn't bury their chances. Bylsma had no answer for Canada's play what so ever.

He is a good coach, but he is not one of the best. Not even close. Blash gives the organization the chance to groom the next great NHL coach. Going after a guy like Bylsma would be a huge downgrade. Bylsma would much better serve a team like Buffalo.

With Babs gone, are the assistants, Granato, Hiller, Brewer still ours?

Will they follow Babs since he hired them?

Would especially like to keep Granato since he seemed to have a great impact on the effectiveness of the power play.
