Fine ... I believe that's what happened :) ... Better ?

I believe Holland, based on his relationship with Babcock, already has a trade in place to send Mantha and our first to Toronto for Phaneuf.

Boy it sure is easy making things up. And fun too. We should both be like Cox and do this for a living.

Yes! The age old justification for any player is available! Wayne Gretzky was traded. Anyone can be traded! I kept waiting for Mario Lemieux, Steve Yzerman, Joe Sakic to be traded. But it never happened. But they could have been traded by dammit! Why? Because....drum roll....Wayne Gretzky was traded so anyone can be traded!

Where did I say holland added a player cause he's friends with a gm? Geez ... I was here sayin we should get cole cause he'd be a good fit and shouldn't cost as much since he was a older ufa and not an elite guy

I don't think I was overvalued jarnkrok at the time ... He was considered our number 1 prospect for along time and and I think he was even at the time of the trade? Not sure

Made top nhl prospect lists , praised by andersen and other scouts ... And we give him up along with a 2nd for david legwand of all people?

When the trade happened wings organization basically said he was a bust so we wouldn't be pissed off ...anyways it's far too soon to say he's gonna be a bust , I think at the least he's gonna be a 3rd line guy ... We'll see

I'm over it cause I see a lot of potential coming up .... And I'd much rather give up Gus or Tatar than a mantha in a deal

Right here:

I'm just saying since Nill and holland are close friends I'm sure Nill used it to his advantage to get a bit more than he should have

How about Mantha, Smith and #19 Pick for O'Reilly?

God this is easy.

Colorado would jump all over that. ROR is a highly paid center whose value is based mostly on hop[e of future production but who has one season of 20 goals to his credit.

O'Reilly is the second coming of Ryan Kesler. I'll let you decide what that's worth to you, but his value to any particular team isn't entirely based on his point production. He's a excellent matchup center and defensive stalwart.

I was going to say something along these lines too. He really seems like the kind of center the wings would love to have from every aspect other than contract.... which, as dickie noted, he'll hopefully grow into.

Size cannot be taught.

What's interesting is that for all the Wings drafting proficiency, they haven't mastered how to draft size properly. You've got big guys such as E, Franzen, now Mantha that play small. And then you've got Helm and Glendening who play like 7 foot monsters. It's an enigma.

For anyone who understands french there's a video of anthony mantha being interviewed here in montreal adressing the rumors

Doesn't know if the rumors are true ... . He says if he gets traded to another team it's for the better cause the other team that traded for you wants you more

They said he's training right now for next season and he said he weighs 210 and his goal is to be 220-225 for camp and will try to impress the team and make the lineup

Wings don't make the playoffs without that trade. Legwand and Mule went on a tear together and won us a bunch of games.

To you that may not be important, unfortunately you don't run the team and it matters to them.

Francine played a lot bigger before he got his big payday and decided he was a star.

Kesler uses his size. Even them, for that cap hot you need more than ROR brings.

Both Kesler and O'Reilly are excellent defensively, but they're very different players. Kesler is physical and a good skater with a hard shot, while O'Reilly never hits and is surprisingly only an average skater for such a good two-way forward. O'Reilly does play a more intelligent game though.

I'd only give up Mantha for O'Reilly if we know we can sign him to a reasonable contract extension by getting Colorado's permission to negotiate beforehand. But based on his previous two negotiations, I'm willing to bet O'Reilly has his mind set on being an extremely young and sought after UFA.
