Draisaitl for Anthony Mantha? Yes, Yes, Yes!

Outside of Larkin, we don't have another high end center prospect with potential to be on the 1st or 2nd line. I think Mantha had a rough year and will bonce back, but we have enought depth on the wing in our system to afford trading him while is stock is still high.

Mantha and Smith for Draisaitl, I'll take that everyday this summer.

We can't really afford to lose jimmy right now, if Mrazek gets hurt or stumbles we don't really have anyone to take over for him.

We could always sign someone in free agency, but even then, who knows how Mcdavid is going to affect them next year.

If he comes in and tears it up, and they're still in the thick of things around the deadline, Jimmy becomes a decent option for them, but trading for a goalie his age would do nothing but hurt them if it looks like they'll be in the rebuild for another five-ten years.

Unless it's a Mantha for Draisaitil deal or one for a player on same level as him then i say keep Mantha. I hope they don't just trade him for anyone just cause he's having a rough transition in the ahl. I have a feeling this summer Mantha will train and work his tail off to show that he is the elite scoring winger he was brought to Detroit to be. Holland hasn't been on a " Lucky Streak " the past couple a seasons. Two years in a row bad trades for aging rent a players that contributed jack. Hopefully can turn that around here at the draft and the up coming free agency period :).

I don't think we have that to worry about.. if there's one thing the wings organization is good at, it's patience with development.

I have to ask Wings GM Damien Cox where Mantha will be playing in Toronto next season. Leafs or Marlies?

I honestly can't believe Cox maintains a job with what he says and the guys and media organizations he has affiliates with. He's makes TSN look like "the hockey writers."

Seriously though, if you follow the hockey writers, you should probably also join Scientology
