Dougie hamilton to calgary

The thing with Stamkos is that Cooper kind of shoved it up his arse in the playoffs...he made him serve a bench minor IIRC. Just how fractured is that relationship?

I get the cap issues...but if i'm Boston, I trade everything I can before I let a guy like Hamilton walk. So far as their draft goes...I wonder if Neely is telling Sweeney "I said draft Sensyshen with the 3rd round pick...not the the third pick"

Now they're saying that the other players didn't like him because he was a longer and that contributed to the trade. I don't care how annoyed you get, you don't trade a very close to star player for picks that are not a guarantee unless he's starting fights or something more serious.

The B's seem to always have some excuse for trading away young superstar-to-be players. Maybe it is time they realize they are the problem.

Now they're claiming they offered him a 6 yr $33 million deal and he turned it down. So instead of continuing to negotiate with a promising young player, they traded him for peanuts.

And apparently a former Bruins player came to Hamilton's defense and said he's a nice kid. What a disaster.

Hamilton was an RFA, right? Even had Hamilton gotten an offer sheet the Bruins didn't want to match, at the price it would've taken I'm pretty sure Boston would've walked away with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder.

Jesus. What a disgraceful pile of incompetence on the B's part.

Apparently bunch of NHL GMs didn't even know he was available. You'd have to think they could have started a major bidding war. Reminds me of when Thorton was traded to San Jose by, you guessed it, the Bruins.

This is news to me.

Even though Calgary might be a great place to play during the season - I'm certain it doesn't compare to what Boston has to offer overall...Then again - I've been to neither city so what do I know?

EDIT - Comparing the 2 cities meaning regarding the life you live outside of the rink.

Never been to Calgary, but Boston is absolutely amazing. If it wasn't so expensive to live there, I'd move there in a second. Can't imagine why a young wealthy guy wouldn't want to live there. Must be something within the team that made him want to leave, if that is the case.

Maybe Julien and him didn't get along ? Maybe the media was just an annoying bunch.

But whatever the case was this is a real steal for Calgary will be a bargain in 3 years

this is also a good comparison for Danny D. hope he will settle for a somewhat similar deal

Hamilton's better than Dekeyser.

Now anyway.

That could change very soon.
