The actual 'deal' was passed after I made my post (passed July 15th - 2 days after I posted).

I might've overstated when I said 'longshot', but this new arena in Milwaukee has been a hot topic since the new owners bought the team from Herb Kohl, and it met alot of resistance considering the condition of the Bradley Center, and tax $$$ being used to fund for an arena that many like myself feel isn't needed..

Off-Topic but does Herb Kohl own the Kohl center in Madison or is it named after him?

Kohl center is owned by the university. It is extremely rare for the name on a building to represent ownership. The name on a building normally indicates that person or company paying naming rights (normally requires annual payments over the duration of agreement....if payment stops, name comes down). When it comes to university buildings, the names on the buildings generally indicate that they have been named after a significant donor, which is the case here. Mr. Kohl donated $25 million.

Made some updates to the blog. Sorry I didn't have any new content for a while. I will try to be more frequent. Should I make a new thread for construction updates?

I think it would be good to do for those who haven't bookmarked your blog. I know I've appreciated the pics.

I live right around there and I didn't even hear the implosion >.>

Slept right through it.

Wow you must have been tired. It was pretty loud. You can even hear it on my video over the noise of the props.
