I guess if they're planning on making Z the first line center, Sheahan the 2C, and Richards the 3C, then I'm fine with it...I guess. I mean, he did just have similar season to Sheahan...except for the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.

I'm confused.

Ehh... Only one year, so the price tag isn't too much to worry about. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we have cap room, could we apply the extra $1m for bonuses to this year's salary? Or was that only in the previous CBA?

Tatar rich as nyquist 2nd line a done deal?

Ray Ferraro just said pavel wants to go to the wing ... We couldn't possibly put richards as the number 1 center

They were saying Z slots in as #1...I donno about that. I bet Pav stays as the #1 C.

We needed a veteran presence with some Championship big game winning savy. He'll be a nice upgrade over the role Cleary was hoping to fill. Still think we need to move a few and get one more solid defenseman and this day is perfect!!!

Congrats Kenny, I'll take my crow served cold thank you, didn't think you had it in you.

I am too. And I can't see Richards coming here to be the third line center behind Sheahan.

I mean, if I think of it as swapping Weiss for Richards it kind of seems like a win. But I wouldn't have considered this a pressing need relative to the blueline or scoring winger.

All this talk of brad richards I'd personally get rid of a miller to make room for joel ward instead , we know he can get 15-20 and the guy would be a beast in the playoffs and is a big body

We need to add some playoff bodies, too much of the same in detroit

Joel Ward is good but he made 3 million last year. We can't afford to and shouldn't spend 3 million on a 3rd-4th line player.

Miller is underrated. He is actually a pretty big body, hits everyone, and comes pretty cheap.
