I didn't bring this whole thing up to begin with, You have number9 and Rick Zombo to thank for this, but since I was being made fun of and mocked before I even said anything, I damn sure was going to set the record straight and put out there exactly who and what I do know. I was just putting out there that it was not Helm that the trainer said was the lazy one because you guys so eloquently described the situation that a friends uncles illegitimate child said so. I said the it was a friend who skates with a Wings trainer, and it was Kindl and Smith, not Helm. Then I explained why I said Helm was tradable. Everyone else took off with the whole thing. Besides, people do care when it comes to someone saying that they heard some inside info. They want to know where. Back then, that was inside info...and guess who was being talked about this trade deadline all the time BY NHL INSIDERS, not just fans, Smith and Kindl were names most always in the conversation. So again, tell me when I am wrong about something, prove it and I will take the medicine, but as of today, any info that I heard from the few friends I have that know some people, has been correct. My friend Jeff, who was dating Danny D's sister said he was choosing Detroit before he even came out of college, the Wings trainer said Smith and Kindl were lazy and the team didn't want them and I said look for them to be on the trading block because the powers that be (at that time Babcock) thought they weren't cut out to be on this team. Kindl was talked about a lot before, but wow, when did Smith get thrown in there all of a sudden, hmmmm, because Babcock didn't like him. You guys basted me back then when I said he wasn't liked and would probably be on the block...wow, low and behold, he was on the block.

Don't be mad because someone knows someone. Don't mock or make fun because you want to be the cool kid. Show me where I was wrong about any of it and then fine. I have yet to proven wrong on most things. Just realize that players and stars are people too and they all have normal lives and know normal people outside of their craft.

And that is coming directly from my uncles mom's next door neighbor's pet Doberman's trainers son's best friend from Sidney, Australia.

I'll give you Danny d, but you pick the two players that have been rumored to be on the trade block for 2 years and say you had inside info. It wasn't some amazing revelation that Smith and kindl were being considered for some kind of package deal.

it appears that its going just a bit hard re-signing these two. Guess Holland just assumed that they would take the leftover tablescraps. Too many overpaid contracts on this team. Too many useless players that can easily be replaced with cheaper contracts.

Well you asked where you were wrong and here is just a prime example.

Pulk just re-signed. A mere two days after you claimed it would be hard. Lol

Detroit Red Wings ‏@DetroitRedWings 9m9 minutes ago

The #RedWings agreed to terms with Teemu Pulkkinen on a one-year contract- http://bit.ly/1HGTWC8

OMG!! IT GOT DONE!! WITH ONLY SECONDS TO SPARE!

I'm surprised he had to accept those table scraps considering how established he is as an nhl player

My guy on the inside says Smith and Kindl were never traded because they were never on the trading block in the first place. Was just the media drumming up trade hype. SHOW ME WHERE I'M WRONG

Don't be mad because I know someone deeper in than you. I'm just a cool kid.

no, it wasn't, but during all the rumors I simply said what I said about the trainers comments. Adding some level of why they may the ones talked about being traded. Of course, they mocked back then and they still mock now. But that's ok, I happen to enjoy hearing things from people with info that hasn't made the news yet. I will take the mocking because when I say something and it happens, then I love when they try to say I didn't say it. Like over two years ago when I said within 2-3 seasons Howard will lose his starting job to Petr. Should see the comments I got from that. I don't know crap about hockey, jimmy is the one to take them all the way, go root for the Flyers...blah, blah, yadda. I revel in watching them all slowly change their tune to support what I have said for years. Hudler, Franzen, Howard...they all loved them, berated me for disliking them, but then slowly they all turn and start supporting the opposite...its funny! Just remember though, I don't know s***.

would have much easier without the contracts of Franzen, Quincey and Howard. Guarantee Pulk outearns his contract while Franzen gets $4M to perform way less than him. Willing to bet Pulk out scores him by at least double the points.

some have already turned on him...the guy have 5 goals in his short stay with Detroit and minimal usage by Babcock. Give him quality 3rd line minutes and PP time? I believe he will be a hot one. Calder?

If he can light it up close to what he did in Grand Rapids, he will be in the running for the Calder, IMHO.

Calder? Seriously? He's a small, not strong, one dimensional player who struggled mightily last year and whose game has a good chance of not translating to the NHL. And you want to talk about the Calder? No chance. Have you heard of Connor McDavid? Just wondering.

Not to mention, he's not even eligible for the Calder.

Sheesh, I didn't realize that he played 31 games last year....boy, Babcock really had him buried on the bench, eh? He only struggled because he was mostly 4th line. When he did get minutes above the 4th, he scored. I fully believe with 3rd line and PP time, he will shine bright. Of course then next year he will get the $3M+ deal...

number9, I will leave the digging to you guys, because its what you love to do when you try to prove I didn't say what I said. I will gloat, because when I am wrong I eat the crow, so when I am right, I will gloat. If you haven't realized that in nearly 10,000 posts, you never will.

It's not turning on him, it's looking at a player without rose colored glasses. He doesn't have good speed, couldn't get open, and looked completely one dimensional.

You seem to turn on players left and right too so I don't see what the issue is if others are skeptical about Pulk.

kickazz, I don't turn on player left and right. I admit, I have turned on a couple, Q and Franzen to name two, but not before they have PROVEN in the NHL that they aren't worth the money or the roster spot. Granted, Q did better last season, but he makes too much money. I know the market dictates it, but I think Holland should have just let him go when he was UFA instead of spend the $4.25M on him...we would've had XO or Marchy all season last year and this year. Franzen....nevermind, I need not get in to that subject...its been well discussed.

Doesn't mean I will TURN on Pulk, but at least give him a full season to prove whether or not he is indeed worthy of an NHL spot. He will MOST definitely do a s*** ton better than Franzen will.
