Jurco Showing Off The Hands

Jurco is going into just his second full season, at the age of 22... Compare him to highly touted prospect, Pulkkinen, who is going into his first full season at the age of 23 (which is the norm in Detroit). Also Tatar and Nyquist are both going into just their third full seasons and are 24 and 25 respectively. Jurco will be fine, and he certainly isn't "running out of time"... His stick trick videos are cool and all, but that is far from his game. He is a very talented player that will work his way into a top six role within the next year or two.

Not sure if this was directed to me but I was being sarcastic.

Ah gotcha :P it was a little bit.. it was kind of just a general comment too though. a lot of people I know are too harsh on jurco too early.

I know the large amount of forwards on the roster contributes to his role last year but we haven't seen even close to the best version of jurco that we will imo

I love me some Jurco, no issues for me.

When you have a coach that spends 24-7 pounding a round peg into square hole it's pretty damn hard to be anything other than confused and I can't imagine why this kid didn't go to management and beg to be traded.

I don't think anyone said that he wants to be the next Kopecky, but why would you even compare the two? Their bio's are very similar in that they're both Tomas' from Slovakia, drafted in virtually the same position, by the same team, and also similar in stature, but that's where the similarities end. Jurco is a much more skilled player in my opinion, and I wouldn't be shocked if he cracks 400 points before he plays 600 games, while Kopecky still hasn't cracked 200 points...

He won't... Jurco is already better than Kopecky at the age of 22. People seem to forget how young he is and how un-Red-Wing-like it is for a 20 year old to crack the lineup. Jurco will be fine. I expect big things out of him this season under Blashill...
