Darryl Sydor Charged Drunken Driving

Why is he done? Jason Kidd was a head coach when he got arrested for drunk driving. He wasn't done.

It's a crime and he'll be punished, but it's not like we all don't know numerous people who've gotten DWI's. He shouldn't lose his job just because of this.

It was very irresponsible. Just because we all know people who have also done it does not make it better or more acceptable, in my opinion. He put his, his son's, and everyone else on the road's lives in danger. I would not see it as an injustice if he lost his job as a result.

His blood alcohol level was .30 at 5:15pm on a Thursday and he was driving that drunk with his son in the car.

The next move should probably be rehab.

He must have been sober at some point, yet he still chose to drink knowing he had his son with him. I can't comprehended that. Then, I don't drink, so I can't understand the allure of alcohol in the first place. I drown my sorrows in chocolate milk.

I hope they throw the book at him for driving that drunk, let alone with his kid in the car. He should go to rehab and get help, but if it was a teacher in PA doing that, they'd lose their job and teaching certificate.

Who are your friends? I don't know anyone with a DUI. I know a few who have probably deserved one...

I don't think he should lose his position - let him do public service and then become a public voice against drunk driving.

I quite clearly remember the Christmas mornings (1-2am) when I was a child and mom would drive me home drunk from Grandma's house, running down mailboxes and up over people's lawns. That topic comes up in my therapy sessions a lot. I feel bad for the kid.

He blew a .3!!! Holy crap how didn't he just pass out?

This chart doesn't even show that high for a 180 pound person as I am guessing his weight...

This smells of someone hiding their addiction and finally getting caught.

Hope for the family's sake he gets help and on the right path.

Yeah, my mom has told me stories of my grandpa driving the family home drunk from parties and dinners. If he did get pulled over, they would just tell him to be careful and drive straight home. How times have changed.
