Miele was probably our best forward. He hung on to the puck so we'll all game and really gave Mantha the opportunity to get open

I was just thinking how little talk there's been about Miele's performance. I guess he's a career minor league guy? So no one's excited about his game because he'll never make this team?

He was amazing along the boards. Same with Sheahan, was he playing wing later in the game?

I know it's just one pre season game but maybe we should make some way for some people instead of always letting them stay in Grand Rapids forever?

Brendan smith has some speed and tools to help offensively but seems things never get better and he keeps turning the puck over ... Just checked he's 26 , he's not getting any younger or much better at this point

Jensen is rid up there in age with smith, 25 and never got a shot + he's the right handed dman we always wanted , let's not keep him down cause we got mike green now

I know we won't get rid of smith/kindl before letting them play some games under Blashill but for me personally there's nothing to see ... Ship out those 2 and replace them with 2 of jensen/ouellet/marchenko and rotate games between the 2 of them and maybe a Quincey and when injuries no doubt occur so they both end up with at least 40-55 games

Kids need to get some games in , don't want to start a season with 3-5 rookies in the lineup ... Same thing with the group upfront

I cannot agree with you more. I've had Jensen on my roster pretty much all summer long. I also agree that, unfortunately, Smith has seemed to top out. He has some value in trade right now, K not much, but you could keep K as a 7th dman with Jensen and him rotating in the 6th spot. I still don't know what we're going to do when all 4 kids are out if exemptions next season. Miele played great, yet another hard working player that earns his paycheck that there is no room for because of overcrowding of players, a couple that are very replaceable.

Marchenko and Kindl are you third pairing.

And even if you did mention Jensen being in the line-up it was probably at the expense of Quincey (just like a Marchenko - Kindl was) and that would be a mistake because Quincey should be one of the best 3rd pairing D in the league this year.

You can never be wrong if you change your opinion enough to cover every possible outcome. And as he's been so fond of letting us know lately, Lefty loves being "right". He's the Eklund of LGW. You throw enough s*** at a wall, some of it sticks.

See, that's what I mean. We aren't supposed to go back and see how he felt at the time. That's not fair. The important thing is that he's changed his mind enough to always be on the right side of any roster decision since then.

We keep focusing on his inability to analyze something before it happens, when we should be focusing on his incredibly accurate flip-flopping technique. His analysis of roster decisions, after the fact, is pretty much spot on.

It's not ok to GLOAT about how you've "had Jensen on you roster pretty much all summer long" when you never even mentioned him ONCE in the roster thread.

It's even worse when you've put three different rosters out there and NONE of them have Jensen listed.

Change your mind all you want. I did. I started with Tatar on the 2nd line and Zetterberg on the first. Then I flipped them.

But I didn't wait until Pulkkinen had a goal yesterday and then lie about how I "had him on my top line all summer long" when I actually didn't.

This was warranted Kickazz. I was simply replying to someone who said Jensen deserves a good shot to make the club, I simply said I had him on my roster for a while, all of a sudden, I was being flamed because "I never mentioned him EVEN once" not even in the lines thread, but yet, as proven, I did, he was on my roster and these fools need to be slapped back in their place. I understand when you guys get mad at me for mentioning Franzen all the time, but my comment warranted no attack like that from Zombo, 9, and Kip because all they were trying to do was start an argument and try to call me out, but they got called out.

Oh, so now you agree that I had him on my roster? And it never was anything about an eye for talent. My stance has been for a while now that Jensen deserves a shot (as do all 4 of the kids.) I always chose Jensen because of the 4, he seemed to be the least likely to be a top 4 guy and that the other 3 should not come up to be #7.

But just like always when you are wrong, you just try to attack someone from a different angle. All three of you guys should just admit you were wrong on this one and go about your day. That is the difference between us, sure I am loud and boisterous and talk a lot of crap, but when I am proven wrong, I do own up to it and admit it. You guys can't and won't. Don't worry Dudez, you internet cred is still good, even if you admit you aren't as k00l as you think you are.
