Dang, installed Win10 with new settings and I still cannot quote someone...crap

Anyhow, Blash is our future, he will have just as much if not more success than our former coach. Next you'll be saying trade Franzen! Sheesh! :ninja:

Cannot believe this has 2 pages of replies...

This thread is very premature and dumb. You ever get a promotion at work? Usually it takes a bit of time to adjust to the new position. This isn't any different

Unless you're Patrick Roy. That's when you come in as a new coach and wreck the season and win an Adams.

PANIC!!!!!!!!!

TANK IT !!!!!! #tankit2016

Seriously, Blashill hasn't even coached his 10th NHL game and we are already calling for his head ? As BoS said, this is a new level of "The sky is falling", even for LGW. Be patient and don't expect the team to dominate the Atlantic, let alone the East. Not with a new and inexperienced coach, many new players and our amount of injuries.

This is a better team on paper than the past few seasons.

That's a fact.

Similar injuries in other seasons.

Babcock got more out of his players.

This is unacceptable.

We are wasting talent right now.

Make a move.

A big move.

Give Tony the reigns.

Make a splash.

Make people wake up.

So they can start learning another new system and take time to figure that one out? Brilliant.

Can we all admit that this is the worst hockey the wings have played in over 10 years

2013 first game of season against the Blues was terrible. Without Lidstrom. 6-0 loss

Datsyuk was so frustrated he got caught yelling "WHAT THE F***" on camera.

They had 36 shots on goal we had only 14.

Also the first goal of the game was Tarasenko's first NHL goal on a breakaway. And he scored his seconds with a massive deke.

And Oshie scored a short handed goal.

In conclusion - Maybe it's not THE worst but it's up there in s**** performances.

Way to early for a thread like this. If we were in March and the Wings were 10th seed and still playing this way, I would get it. Its fricken October 28th!

I was at the game yesterday, and what I saw was a team that lacked chemistry. I cant tell you how many times a pass went through someone's skates, or over their stick, just missed the tape, a shot went wide, someone over skated a pass etc. They just seemed like they were not clicking. The good news, is this isn't a talent issue, its a chemistry issue. Its much easier to fix chemistry then talent.

They are playing bad hockey though.

They already have a "Fire Blashill" thread going on HFboards. Started a week ago..

People still go to that site? Incredible. The fact such a thread was started from what I remember isn't surprising.

Though, I thought it'd take until at least November for a thread like this to show up here. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. For as great as Mike is, we've scratched and clawed our way in since 2012. In 2012 we couldn't compete with the Preds, in 2013 we had a lead going into the 3rd period of game 6 and blew it. Coaching is important in hockey, no doubt, but outside of Z, Larkin and the goalies, we don't have anyone going at the moment. It's on the players to fix this.

There are no other Babcock's out there my friend. There is no doubt he got more out of his player that's why he is so good. Give Blashhill a chance he is just getting started and we have has a rash of injuries again.

Holy f*** this thread.

I'm embarrassed that I come here sometimes.

When Rick Zombo is pissed you know you done f***** up.

---

Seriously though. If there's one thing I realized. Blashil's job is very much secure. In addition to the fact that it's the Red Wings who are loyal. It's also the fact that his ties with the state, the minor affiliate and tons of events he's been a part of all summer long.

This isn't some Canadian hockey coach they hired that moved from Anaheim. This guy was born and raised here and IS a Detroiter.

There's always the Panthers forum. Plenty of pics of Jagr sleeping next to models.

Sure. Don't you want to catch up with Crymson and mindfly?

"Pump the Breaks A Bit" could have been a TonyToniTone song.

I like how noncommittal it is. Like, don't go *slamming* on the brakes, just maybe tap them and flash your brake lights so the chap behind you knows we're gonna slow down this joint a tad.
