Kindl and Ericcson were horrible during regulation. I thought Smith has looked pretty good lately (aside from checking Zetterberg). Anyway I like how the team is playing and think they would've looked much better had they not been down a forward and forced to juggle lines. Good game, on to the next.

Hopefully we will see some consistency out there, playing hard for 60 minutes or more if needed. Better passing and being smarter in our own zone. Definitely need better transitioning through the neutral zone and more sustainability in the oppositions end.

It was great that Kindl got the GWG but he's a huge liability, he's so quick to join the offense but most of the times makes bad passes which turn into breakaways. Good thing he shot the puck.

Aside from his goal I thought kindl was terrible tonight. In the 3rd period alone he made 2 terrible plays that led huge chances for the leafs but petr bailed him out. Babs was totally right about kindl and when our D is healthy he has no place in our lineup.

Aside from that mrazek is the only reason we won this game. I cannot wait for green and pav to be back this week!

I agree, once Green comes back Kindl is the most likely to go down, Marchenko has a lot to improve but so far has proven he deserves to be in the big team. Hopefully Quincey won't need surgery and we'll get better defensively. Some praise Blash's hockey style of D-men joining the rush. But this creates huge gaps and both Petr and Jimmy (and the goal posts) have bailed us out. Got to love our goalie tandem so far.

That was hard to watch. Blash needs to sit Pulks because we are way too small, at least Gus and Tatar are capable of making plays. I fear Blash might have a man crush on Pulks this season

When I saw Pulkkinen and Tatar on the ice in OT I thought now it is over and Tatar nearly turned the puck over, but then Kindl goes all Bobby Orr on them as someone put it. LOL.

Maybe, or people need to start being honest with themselves and realize that with crappy play like tonight's display will not even come close to holding up against a real team. If it weren't for Z's garbage goal and Petr's awesome net minding, they would not have won the game.

watching a game live brings a whole new perspective especially when your team is struggling.

D can't make a clean to pass to the forwards, forwards maybe aren't putting themselves in good positions to receive a pass.

these 2 things though have zero to do with the fact that this team had NO energy at all. no forecheck, no hits, no shots, just plain bad. the game was pathetic and you could just sense it that the leafs were going to tie the game late in the third.

3 on 3 is great to watch however.

Sum1 - Sometimes goalies steal games, but its not like they were outployed thoroughly. I think each team had their moments and Toronto just had a few more that Mrazek stole from them. To say they only won because of a garbage goal is wrong. Toronto's goal was actaully more "luck" than Z's. Also you say they won't be able to play against the better "real" teams in the league, yet, they are 2-0 against a very high powered Tampa team. Sometimes in pro sports, teams just struggle against certain other teams, like Carolina. Was this their best effort tonight? No, they still need work in certain area's, but they were not dominated by far.

Big test is Sunday afternoon. Dallas is riding high and scoring lots of goals. Then comes Washington, going to be another high flying event! I am excited for the Fedorov honoring that night. This could be yet one more step in the direction of #91 in the rafters. (That was NOT an invitation to debate, at least not in this thread.)

We were able to keep them from getting great quality chances all night, like most of the season actually, but they dominated us in possession which is just hard to watch. Our problems come at the other end. Just can't maintain control in the offensive zone so therefore the other team has the puck a lot more than us. Imo we need to ice a bigger lineup. Pulks is useless unless on the PP or OT but I don't think Blash will sit him unfortunately. Nyquist looks really weak on the puck but is still a dangerous player and I'm still waiting for Tatar to come back to last season form. He has had some good games here and there but not what I expect from him. Guys like Helm and Abby is exactly what this team needs more of

Pulks has barely been getting any icetime anyways though. At the very least he looks fast when hes out there and hes definitely trying to improve.

Man GCL is the way to go, at least for us "out-of-market" guys. I had to leave work and it was mid-through the 3rd, and I make a 1-hour commute trip home. so as soon as I got home resumed watching the game. Wish I had unlimited wifi so i could watch it on my phone. But eh, one step at a time, I guess.

That is one thing Datsyuk will solve. I know a lot of people think Datsyuk will solve all the problems. I'm one of those saying well not ALL, but at least "some" of the problems..

"Some" in my opinion includes the puck possession issue.

I'm also concerned about clearing the zone on the PP but that's understandable because Datsyuk IS the primary guy responsible for getting into opponent zone during PP.
