Goaltending is the reason for our 8 wins so far, so I can't be too mad at Jimmy (even though the 1st goal was weaaak) Larkin was the best player on the ice, gonna buy his jersey soon. Love that guy. Not really. This is what the Wings have been for many years now. They'll win some and lose some. Limited talent. Barely make the playoffs. Lose in the early rounds. Green is consistantly getting manhandled as our #2, but if we play him as our #6 where he should be, Holland will look pretty foolish for making him our highest paid defenseman, right? The only thing Holland looks foolish about is the fact that Pavel Datsyuk is getting paid 7.5 million dollar cap hit and had 3 giveaways tonight! He had the most giveaways on the team today. Screw that guy. Holland looks foolish signing him. I mean 3 giveaways!?! And you know after 3 giveaways, if Pav was dumped to the 4th line Holland would look foolish. See I can play your game too. It's not that hard. It's easy to pick and choose. Except I decided to use Pavel's name instead of Green's. For the record drawing a penalty on the bench is dumb. Getting manhandled on ice is a physical shortcoming. Bad comparison. But I know you're trying to pull every argument (regardless or whether or not it's a fallacy) to stand up for your boy Smith. Honestly, a lot of the players look lost. We lost many of the battles tonight and when we did win them, we couldn't create. Kronwall and E should be leading this team defensively and they certainly are not. Better shot differential tonight but not good scoring opportunities. Abby, whoa. Dude needs to pick it up. Especially for the contract he just signed. Howard needs to be our backup. Plain and simple. Blashill has been outcoached and outclassed pretty much all season, sans the home opener. This is a team with no identity. Datsyuk is not going to save them. Heck, even Zetterberg is looking human and beatdown out there. This is a tough team to watch. We had a lot of pressure in their end, but couldn't seem to get the puck going in.
