What are the chances Larkin wins the Calder ?

dylark is consistently making his case. Once Kane cools off, I think Panarin will as well. Larkin seems to be much more self-generating in terms of his offensive production rather than riding anyone's coat tails. The age difference is also going to come into play as well, I think. His plus-minus stat is becoming more and more impressive. Even though I take plus-minus with a grain of salt, his number relative to the rest of his team is quite telling, IMHO. If the Wing's offense continues to click the way it has, is Vladdy's mark of +60 from 95-96 in reach?

I dpu t it. He will still play very well but I doubt he will get over +30 I think he will finish around +25

Meh. Gotta voice in on this one. Already stated I don't want him winning. But I'd say he's up there with Domi and Panarin. If it keeps up like this for all those it's gonna be tight. Also doubt Connor McJesus gets it if they do.

He has a lot of things going for him. The plus-rating, his placing and production on the top lines. Homegrown kid. Mature. Scores readily.

I don't like it. If you catch my drift.

Lol his nickname is now McJesus? I've read McSavior McGretzky but McJesus takes the cake lol

Panarin is playing on a stacked team has tons of pro experience and plays with maybe the hottest player in the league right now, Kane is riding an insane 20+ game pointstreak. I personally don't care if Larkin wins or not if he has a great season every Wings fan will know it an award doesn't change that.

Yes he's referred to that on many shows and what not. Some just referred to him as "the second coming" and intentionally didn't use his name.

Reading your comment I remembered to add another factor that speaks for Larkin - he's highly involved in making the team win games and stay in playoff contention. Should play a role if it keeps up.

Completely agree. I'm not sure how much of a factor this is, but in my opinion Larkin has a greater impact on his team's success than Panarin. Not to take anything away from what Panarin is doing.

Colar McBroken gets it at the end. it's a NHL way to say sorry to him for sending him to this s***hole Oilers of Edmonton.

However, this league once in a while pays respect to the Red Wings as well. Last time a Wing won this trophy 50 years ago. In a while, I'd say.

So, Dylan that's your chance, kid!!

If Larkin is at +40 with 50-60 pts, and Panarin is at +1 with 80 pts, I take Larkin for the Calder. Larkin has singlehandedly taken a team to a different level and is the mvp of his team. Panarin is not doing that. passing to Patrick Kane.

FTFY :P

but yes, i agree 100%
