Lets all blame Smith. Wasnt his turnover. Wasnt his man. But man is it fun to blame him.

Honestly? he didn't make the turnover, but he's supposed to play defence. He had plenty of a head start - all he had to do is stay between the player and the net. Instead, he got way out-skated and left behind.

Ha ha ha. Not even close. Turnover by another guy and Smith blamed. Never seen that before.

Nah. Should've been covering the point, shouldn't have blown the foot race, read the effing play. Hooked him down. DO ANYTHING SMITTY YOU BIG DUMMY!

Observations:

1) The PP scored a goal - GOOD

2) The PP gave up a goal - BAD

3) Smith was not to blame for the goal against - Yes he overplayed the side of the ice the puck was on and got beat, but when you have 4 players in a scrum and lose the puck battle, that's BAD

4) Its 1-1 despite playing a meh period - GOOD

5) Win the next 2 periods and win the game, simple as that

s*** play by all 5 Wings out there. Blaming Smith only is silly.

Smith was not to blame for the goal, his tummy still huwts.

Also, if Jimmy was in net...

Ha ha ha ha. Can you imagine these boards if Smith caused a penalty shot?!!! 50 pages of Smith bashing minimum.

...but Kindl was the only player on the ice during that OT goal in Washington, huh? Nobody else between him and the net, huh?

This is a serious problem that will plague this team for the rest of the season unless they sit up and take notice.

There is minimal compete level from everyone on the ice. It's appalling. If I were Blashill I would be going nuts right now.

They're losing every battle along the boards, allowing themselves to get hemmed in the D zone.

The PP is so perimeter and they're just ***** footing around the blue line trying to get a lane to open up, instead of being aggressive, going down load and driving the net (which is the reason Tatar got the first goal).

The break outs still aren't good enough, its too rushed, they don't look structured at all, and are coughing it up continuously.

This is soooo frustrating to watch, and I really wish KH would have the balls to pull the trigger on a big trade and shake things up. Because really, we have great goaltending, and a group of forwards that really really needs some tenacity that plays with the compete level of some of these Kings.

They're faster, more organised, more determined, smarter, everything.

The Wings will be lucky to even get a point tonight if they continue to play like that first period.

Sorry for being negative, I love this team like the rest of us here. But I've been noticing these disturbing trends all season long, and it's driving me mad.
