does hitting the post count as a shot now? OK, then.

Stretch-y truth still works, at some levels, if you really want it to. ;)

No, the opposite is true. Hitting the post didn't count as a shot, so Kane's pass is still treated as part of the goal-scoring play. If Panarin's hitting the post had counted as a shot, it would've been Keith's goal with only Panarin assisting. It's technically the correct reading of the rule.

That said, it's a weak call. Kane was about five degrees removed from that scoring play. Kane, to Keith, to Panarin, hits the post, back to Panarin, to Keith, scores. But hey, a nice guy like Kane deserves a little break every now and then, right? /s

I think at least 3 times post game interview he mentioned how he was tired of talking about the streak.

Was he crying?

Now can we finally talk about Andre Drummond's ignored point steak?! 26 games and counting; and I predict, if healthy, he'll score a point in every game this season! Why is the press ignoring this?

He crossed cp3 the other day vs the clippers, not bad for a hairless sasquatch.

Offhand I would have thought Modano would have had that 20 plus goal streak covered, but after checking,he only played 30 out of the 48 games in '94-'95(lockout shortened season),and scored 12 goals. Still had 29 points though. So I say Kane has the record due to a technicality. Can't say for sure Modano would have got 20 that year, but it's very likely.
