Ahaha! This team is garbage. ONE win in a four game home stand. I hope they just miss the playoffs by a long shot and sink to the bottom. They need a high pick because they're not going anywhere anyway.

Bye Howard

Bye kindl

Bye line combos

Seriously how do you have Richards 3 goals and helm 3 goals playing with datsyuk? Who's supposed to score?

I'm okay with Richards. Like Green, he seems to be warming up. Helm, though, should be a permanent 4th liner. Why not switch Jurco with Helm on Dats' line? Let's see once and for all if the kid can play at the NHL level. Give him 10 games with the Magic Man.

Guess you missed the points in 15 of 16 games part.

Is it just me, or does it seem like every game where we outshoot the opponent, we lose, and vice-versa?

Some quick research: Of the games where we outshot the opponent, we're 8-5-1 (61% of possible points earned). Of the games where the opponent outshot us, we're 8-5-6 (59% of possible points earned). With the season-opener against Toronto being even in shots and our other win. So I guess I'm wrong. But it still feels that way.

No win or points. But, on the bright side, still a huge positive result for the Howard hate brigade.

I don't understand why this is a thing?

Nobody has a problem when people point out Ericsson's terrible play.

Nobody has a problem when people point out Kindl's terrible play.

Nobody has a problem when people point out Helm's terrible hands.

They've had good games and bad games, but nobody has a problem when people suggest these players be used differently or even off the team entirely.

When these things do happen, nobody goes around bemoaning the "Ericsson Hate Brigade" or the "Kindl Hate Brigade" or the "Helm Hate Brigade".

But my god, Howard has a bad game or does something stupid and your first reaction "Oh MY gOD I MuST DEFeNd HIm FroM teh HatE SquADS!!!!11"

I'm not sure why you read my post above as a defense of Howard's play last night. It doesn't read that way at all to me. Howard played poorly last night. The post was, quite literally, to point out the positive that many LGW members can take away from last night's game despite the loss.

And, I was thinking that I just made up 'Howard hate brigade' phrase. If it is a "thing," I was not aware.

Goalies always get the blame and the hatred. It's easier to blame the goalie than to look at the finer points of the game, and realize the D also has responsibility for some goals. Sometimes it really is the goalie, and they feel terrible about it, since it's their job. I admire goaltenders' ability to put bad goals behind them (no pun intended!) and move on to the next play. It's that, or go crazy - not that most goalies are not crazy at some level. They are, or they wouldn't want the job!

Howard is a very good goalie, Mrazek might end up being a great one, who knows? I think we're fortunate to have both of them. Merry Christmas, LGW!!

Where you been?

Skulking about. Waiting for a loss to come out of the darkness to point and mock.

...and he's not even really good at that. /blocked.

I get why Blash doesn't want to mess with the TSN line, but seriously --

Z-Dats-Abs

Larkin-Richards-Helm

Any of those three can center that line, but wasn't Richards brought in to be a #2C behind Dats anyway?

Do it. Get Datsyuk up on that first line and get him going.

Howard was hideous. Watching how wussy we were and getting out muscled by a pretty scrub Devils team is really bad. Funny what a little grit and solid goaltending every night can get ya. Disappointed that Larkin was cross-checked from behind like 3 times and only Abdelkader steps up.

This team is softer than melted butter. John Scott is currently leading the ASG voting and he's available. We could get an All Star and a gritty player all with one signing/trade.

Isn't melted butter simply liquid ;)

Overall I thought we hustled decently well. Giving up 3 goals in a row doesn't help tho :/

Also.. what a shot by Green. Can he do that more?
