Well good thing Devils and Ottawa don't play because both could pass us and knock us out of playoffs....

I said it last game, the streak was a mirage.... We are now 10-11 in our last 21, we are an under .500 team who took games to Ot....

But our place in the standings hurt is because Holland thinks we are a top team. Thankfully TB is struggling more and Price is hurt

Another backup looks like an All-Star.

I don't remember Zatkoff once having to make a big save. They might as well have hung a salami off the crossbar tonight for the same result.

The Red Wings should be utterly embarrassed for the 5 unanswered goals they just gave up to a slumping team.

Call a damn players only meeting. Get your s*** together and figure out wtf is going on with yourselves. Terrible way to end 2015 for Hockeytown. Fans didn't deserve that today.

Off to new years eve stuff - have a great night guys. (and forget about the last 3 hours)

I was just thinking that, make the back-up whose name I have never heard look like Vezina calibre... sigh

not just the goalie, I've always thought Detroit is the top team at getting the best out of their opponent. But lately it has been like they could be facing the 30th PP in the league, yet they score twice. Worst PK shuts 'em down. We're 3 games behind mid season, so here's to hoping all of these adjustments start clicking before they realize they need a major tune up.

It doesn't even faze me anymore when they blow games like that. I know going in it's either a squeaker win, or a loss. They could be more competitive if Holland would make some gutsy trades for once and try to fill the obvious holes, but he won't. it's been embarrassing yes, but the Wings have been elite or at the least competitive for a quarter century. Right now the veterans are showing age badly, team is soft, goalies flip flopped so much neither can establish a rhythem, defense needs serious help, forwards can't seem to do much. I think it's time Kenny commits to a rebuild if they miss or get smashed in the first round of the playoffs. Can't keep going like this. I can think of 10-12 guys on this current team i'd keep and ditch the rest. It's been a good run, but with this current team, nothing will get accomplished that actually matters.

Ya know what gets me...Jim Nill.

The guy goes to Dallas - swings some ballsy trades - and is now one of the better teams in the West.

Damn did he ever fleece boston.

A top 10 scorer in the league in Seguin, for a fading Eriksson and Brendans brother and some other random stuff. (Iirc morrow and some 6th/7th d man)

Ha.

Can you imagine if boston would've kept seguin, kessel*** and jumbo joe?

They'd end up losingoing krejci and probably tukka, but damn.

It doesnt seem like Chiarelli was ever thinking about that teams future.

Edit:

Just looked it up kessel got them the pick that they used on seguin, but still, center depth of Seguin-Thornton and Bergeron as their 3rd line center would be unfair.
