I certainly wouldn't expect it of you, as you don't comment on wins.

I'll be honest, I haven't watched as much as I used to as I have a young son and wife that take up most of my time. I seem to catch the games they lose, or play poorly and manage to win. I'm glad you keep tabs on me though, it's nice to have a fan.

refs were awful

Did you watch the game?

Well I did anyway. How many broken sticks when about 3 minutes left during a span of thirty seconds, 3? No call.

Ugly game overall. I'll take it any day, 2 points in the bag.

It was ugly, true... but a little confidence booster before the many-road games this month couldn't hurt, eh?

I think Buffalo plays us well because they're pretty big and physical when they want to be. Same reason we lost that Pens game. We're not good when they raise up the intensity and physical play

I think our defense has issues but the young guys aren't the problem. Kronwall and Ericsson just crumble under pressure and they always have. Hard to sit these guys. Smith and Marchenko just keep getting better every game.

Ericsson has never had a good overall season for a true top four defensmen. I think we are the only team in the league that would have handed him that contract. He got rich off circumstance because their was no better options and being a bad team wasn't an option

That's all teams have to do is turn up the physical game and there's not much the Wings can do about it. Too small of a team, and even our couple big guys play small. As long as Holland is GM, I figure we'll keep seeing that. I thought that was mostly on Babcock, but he's gone now, and the need for a physical element is still there. Maybe next season...

Big guys just aren't ready yet. Don't even seen any good physical players coming up either. Since 2010 the playoff streak has been more of a curse for us. This rebuild took an extra 3 years because of it

*Every time anyone scores on us*: WORST RED WINGS TEAM EVER! FIRE EVERYONE!

*We win the game*: crickets...

Am I obligated to continue posting after the game? Or can I go back to my regular life afterwards....

P.S. Hank's eye looks f***ed.

There. Are you happy now???

I think his point is that people post a million times when we lose talking about the million reasons why this team sucks but when we win the activity simple decreases. He is right.

That being said, human nature is human nature. People complain at work, they complain about school, they complain about sports. Seems normal to me.

Outshoted, outchanced, outcoached against f***ing Sabres... Glad with the victory BUT we are talking about Sabres...

For the past 10 years Kenny is saying that he wants to bring physicality

Don't you know the rules? If you post even one negative comment in a Game Day Thread, you're contractually obligated to stick around and eat your crow if the team pulls out a win.

Kidding, kidding...all I'm saying is that I wish for more positivity in this space. I don't understand the fan experience that reinforces negativity and doesn't allow for the joy of victory. A lot of posters in this forum seem to have this impression that it's somehow edgy and contrarian to come in here and post all about how bad the team is and how many changes they'd make if they were HC or GM, and give no thought to positivity when we win. As if they know better than the people who are paid millions of dollars to do nothing but run a hockey team. When the team wins, that mindset is challenged, and nobody sticks around to bear that challenge.

I don't know if there's such a thing as "good" or "bad" fans, but I know that if good fans do exist, they're not perpetually mired in negativity and paralyzed by the fear of loss.

I'm a little torn on Rig. I do think he's the worst 1B we have had in 25 years. But I dont think he's so bad as to not have a spot in the top 6. The big problem - you nailed it. He's very overpaid. He is a good 3B, and should be paid 2.5 mil per year to steady a 3rd pairing. We pay him 4.5 per year to underperform on the top pair. Cant really blame Ericsson, though. Thats on our gm/coach.

Well it's one of the issue, Errorson, Q, Abdelkader are guys who are overpaid but have no value in trade market due to their salaries and the way they are playing.

This team is (at the best) playoff contender and far from being Stanley Cup contenders. Kenny's goal is to make the playoff and that's it.
