Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2016/01/detroit_red_wings_forward_drew.html "ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Detroit Red Wings forward Drew Miller had just returned from a lengthy absence and now he might be out again. Miller suffered a lower-body injury during his first shift in the third period Sunday in the Red Wings' 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center. He did not return to the game. General manager Ken Holland said the club was trying to arrange for an MRI Monday in Los Angeles. Otherwise they'll do it in Phoenix on Tuesday or Wednesday." Bill Berzeench 310 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 so I'm to understand there's some sort of Miller voodoo doll or something of the sort? No! It appears Holland is good at 1 thing - having players get injured when cap relief is needed.
krsmith17 7,191 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 e_prime, I refuse to believe that you're that big of a Miller fan. It must be a part of the whole thing you have going on with Bill regarding the importance of having Miller to this team...
HockeytownRules19 902 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 Helene St. James @HeleneStJames 2m2 minutes ago Ken Holland says torn meniscus on Drew Miller, out at least a month, further evaluation once back in Detroit. Dude can't catch a break
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) Interesting. It seems the hockey gods always favor Holland with cap issues. We've been close to being overcap for almost two years but someone is always injured and we end up below it. Edited January 11, 2016 by kickazz

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted January 12, 2016 How convenient for Holland. I swear this happens almost every time he's about to get into a cap bind. A little too convenient, no? This has to look suspicious to the league because I sure as hell am not buying it. The timing is almost way too perfect for Miller to go on LTIR. Of course, Holland could just not make stupid roster decisions in the first place and avoid this.

I'm pretty sure that all the league would have to do is ask to see Drew Miller's medical records. I really doubt this is a giant conspiracy. The guy has a torn meniscus, not a sore shoulder or something, this would be very hard to fake. kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Yeah - you can't fake a torn meniscus. Drew might not be skating for a while. (although some people don't feel any pain even with a torn meniscus). Edited January 12, 2016 by kickazz

Yah, cuz it would be impossible for the team doctor to get a pic of a torn meniscus from ummmmm any of the 1,000,000 torn meniscus pics online. And what if it is a "slightly" torn meniscus? AKA - the injury has been there since he was 23 years old. Rhis is gobbly ****.

Barrie 900 Report post Posted January 12, 2016 I always enjoy a good conspiracy theory, but if anyone is going to be out for a month so we can have cap relief, it wouldn't be our best penalty killer. 4 NerveDamage, PavelValerievichDatsyuk, TheXym and 1 other reacted to this
