Is body mass to point production ratio an advanced stat yet? Get on it math nerds. Edited February 8, 2016 by e_prime

TheXym 2,606 Report post Posted February 8, 2016 Yep, that puts those rumors to rest, and the money is about what I thought he'd get (I was guessing he'd get 7.5-8 for 7 years). The shorter term is a bit of a coup for Cheveldayoff. I guess the question now becomes, do they sign Ladd or trade another D man since they have some cost certainty with Buff now. Enstrom would be good trade bait.

WingsallTheway 383 Report post Posted February 8, 2016 Obviously just to increase his trade value so we can swap him for Kindl and a 2034 6th round draft pick 2 NerveDamage and frankgrimes reacted to this

kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) Well seeing as though we pay $6 million to Mike Green for his production you knew Buff would get at least 7 mill - who scores at a higher rate and plays more minutes. Aethernum 276 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 If this were a Holland signing everyone would be up in arms saying how he screwed the pooch again, signing an aging D-man for too long a contract for too high a price.
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 Only if Buff were 33 or so. 5 years is actually pretty good term. 1 e_prime reacted to this

chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted February 11, 2016 Good. He got his money, and it won't be coming from Detroit(assuming he was traded to the Wings then resigned). Also, no chance of giving up way too much for what could/would only be a rental.
