Oh well ... at this rate, a pt a game, we'll end up with around 91 pts ... good for 9th spot.

But we'll have Helm and Ericsson and Smith and Franzen will make a come back attempt! We'll have $10M in goalies too! And KFQ! We'll keep Kindl and lose XO, Jensen and Sproul to waivers...good times ahead!

Jimmy shouldn't feel bad. He played awesome and even thougo they didn't win he's got to feel good about his play.

I would say he played well, not awesome but that's just me. Was a surprisingly physical game tonight, I enjoyed that.

I'd say he played awesome, easily his best game all season. The end result was unfortunate.

Just my opinion, as a fellow goaltender, don't mean to demean anyone who thinks otherwise. I agree the end result was unfortunate, but honestly I didn't see much that would make me say that was an elite starting goalie performance. Saying it his best performance of the season doesn't mean much, but I'd like to look through his starts before I said something definitive on the issue. Anyway have a good night and we need to get them next game!

also as a fellow goaltender i would agree but this was easly his best performance of the season and was all star caliber tending again he deserved the win and didnt get it i hope this is his way of trying to prove he still can be good so as to either use him as trade bait or a solid backup for Mrazek who i still believe is the man

Yes this was definitely his best performance of the season and was a very good display of goaltending, I guess where I'm getting away from people is that this still wasn't elite, henrik was better than him tonight, Corey Schneider has done better in New Jersey than he did tonight. I guess all I was saying was he was extremely sound fundamentally and made a few very good saves but certainly did not do anything that would

Make me think he has progressed as a goalie.

Ps did you play ice or roller goalie?

I'm quite content getting the single point. This game was lost if it weren't to Howard who played great. If he keeps it up we are back at 1A 1B on the goalie position which would be great going into the playoffs - if we make it.

Besides, it should raise his trade value considerably.

While I believe Howard is still a quality netminder I feel his inconsistency this season has made him nearly impossible to move unless he's part of a package (like adding Nyquist and/or Tatar).

I still think Holland will keep Howard for the remainder of the season...Maybe at the draft a move is made?

Holland confirmed he's not moving Howard this season.

Kyle Quincey's quote when talking about Howard after yesterdays game.

"I told him through the 11 years of on an off (as a teammate) that might have been the best game I've ever seen him play," Kyle Quincey said. "I'm happy that he had such a great game and hopefully he can keep going with that. If he does that, we're in great shape."

Green has a lot of skill with the puck but this year he looks like he's just not moving his feet at all. Wasn't he one of the best skaters in the league a few years ago? He doesn't look mobile at all, maybe all those groin injuries have really affected him

I hear his favorite player growing up was Robert Lang

In the final minutes he stopped a penalty shot and a 2-0, we had no business getting that point. Those are the kinds of headlines that come from guys like Price, Holtby, or Rask. Elite performance to me.

Spot on. This guy needs to be making Smith better. He's making him worse. For 6 mil a year, we should be getting a lot more.
