Wow, Tatar didn't get many votes last year and ended up leading the Wings. Choose your dark horse

No by "scorer" it's meant to be "point leader" which was Zetterberg. Although most people predicted Datsyuk would have been last year.

But yea Tats was the leading goal scorer, which I think you meant

my bad, I understood it as goal scorer... here are the current player leaders

Player G A P

Z-Beard 12 29 41

D-Boss 19 20 39

Tatar 17 18 35

Datsyuk 12 23 35

Oh Captain, my Captain. Will not be the leading goal scorer, but will LEAD the team in points.

it's a really close race, D-Boss just needs another hot streak and could easily surpass Z, specially if kept with AA and Richards. Dats and Tats are relly close too, so it would be an interesting finish, Gus and Abby have 33 points.

Not sure.

Z is known to elevate his game towards end of the season and into the playoffs. But then again he didn't do it last year and likely won't be able to this year because he's older.

I have no idea on Larkin. Not sure if he's on a cold streak or if the 82 game season grind got to him or what.

If they split up D and Z then probably Datsyuk should surpass but if they keep them together Z will probably keep the point lead.

I agree with this. I think Pasha will have a stronger finish but if they stay together Z will be chalking up points on every one Dats gets

This is still a pretty tight race. It really seems like it'll be Datsyuk, though. Whoever it is, hopefully they'll beat Alfredsson and Kronwall's 49 points that led the team a couple of years ago (if not, it doesn't bode well for these last few games).

Zetterberg is going to put this team on his back one last time and score at least a point per game in the final 5 games. Hank and Pav will both finish strong, finishing the season with 54 and 52 points... Larkin will beat Zetterberg's rookie record by 1 goal and 2 assists...

Not quite the 86 Oilers.

I remember back in the day when Lidstrom had something like 88 points and we played Nashville? in the playoffs. Theyre leading scorer had something around 45 points and I thought it was the funniest thing of all time.

Well here we are...
