Choose your dark horse No by "scorer" it's meant to be "point leader" which was Zetterberg. Although most people predicted Datsyuk would have been last year. But yea Tats was the leading goal scorer, which I think you meant Edited February 28, 2016 by kickazz

e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Oh Captain, my Captain. Will not be the leading goal scorer, but will LEAD the team in points. Edited February 28, 2016 by e_prime
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 Oh Captain, my Captain. Will not be the leading goal scorer, but will LEAD the team in points. it's a really close race, D-Boss just needs another hot streak and could easily surpass Z, specially if kept with AA and Richards. Dats and Tats are relly close too, so it would be an interesting finish, Gus and Abby have 33 points.
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Not sure. Z is known to elevate his game towards end of the season and into the playoffs. But then again he didn't do it last year and likely won't be able to this year because he's older. I have no idea on Larkin. Not sure if he's on a cold streak or if the 82 game season grind got to him or what. Edited February 28, 2016 by kickazz
kliq 3,755 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 If Datsyuk stays healthy, based on his PPG, he should take the lead at some point.
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 Who knows... the system has been changing and re-adapting. Taking the spotlight away from Larkin,(by this I mean instead of havig him in the top line and building around him) and trying to get a better balance for the team... if that makes any sense

frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 It's incredible Pasha missed a lot of team and is still in the mix so if he can stay healthy it's gotta be him.
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted February 29, 2016 If they split up D and Z then probably Datsyuk should surpass but if they keep them together Z will probably keep the point lead.

I agree with this. I think Pasha will have a stronger finish but if they stay together Z will be chalking up points on every one Dats gets 1 NerveDamage reacted to this
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted February 29, 2016 I agree with this. I think Pasha will have a stronger finish but if they stay together Z will be chalking up points on every one Dats gets and at this point we need more of a collective effort than just one of them boosting up his stats
chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted March 2, 2016 I figure Z. Larkin was racking them up big time for awhile, but he's cooled off some, which was inevitable.
Jacksoni 418 Report post Posted March 2, 2016 I said Zetterberg in september, still standing by that prediction. Won't be close.
barabbas16 499 Report post Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) This is still a pretty tight race. It really seems like it'll be Datsyuk, though. Whoever it is, hopefully they'll beat Alfredsson and Kronwall's 49 points that led the team a couple of years ago (if not, it doesn't bode well for these last few games). VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted March 31, 2016 I don't see anyone getting more than a point or two in the final five games. So Id say things aren't going to change.
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted April 1, 2016 I think Pasha is the only one who has a realistic chance at 3 points in 5 games...not an easy task but if someone can pull it of it's gotta be him.
krsmith17 7,191 Report post Posted April 1, 2016 Zetterberg is going to put this team on his back one last time and score at least a point per game in the final 5 games. Hank and Pav will both finish strong, finishing the season with 54 and 52 points... Larkin will beat Zetterberg's rookie record by 1 goal and 2 assists... WingsallTheway 383 Report post Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) Not quite the 86 Oilers. I remember back in the day when Lidstrom had something like 88 points and we played Nashville? in the playoffs. Theyre leading scorer had something around 45 points and I thought it was the funniest thing of all time. Well here we are...
