I'm honestly thinking at this point maybe blashill isn't the right fit for our team. We have the skill despite what some people think, we just need to start looking at our coaching. Pp sucks, team seems to lack motivation and everyone seems to be underachieving. I say give Jeff one more season and see what happens though.

I'll say it again....what exactly has Holland done since he has been limited in what he can spend? Aka...Salary Cap era? The guy gets a pass because he brought in Shannahan, Hull, Chelios etc. This is the last offseason I'm giving Holland. If he can't get us some offense I'm done with him.

Lots of hate for our team right now. Let me remind you, we're playing a great team that's won 3 of the last 6 Cups, loaded with talent that's currently in their prime and we're in the process of rebuilding after winning 4 Cups in 11 years. We're not bad, THEY are good. We have a lot of young talent, they have talent and experience. I hate to say it as much as you hate to read it, but they should be beating us right now considering current state of each franchise. It won't stay like that though. We'll get better and better each year as our prospects develop. Holland didn't make a deal because making a trade wouldn't change the outcome of this game, but it could negatively impact our team in the future. Rebuilding takes a lot of time, we can't flip out and want to make a bunch of changes because we're losing to a team we hate. We'll turn this around and in a few years, their superstars will have lost a step and our young stars will be entering their prime and the tables will be turned. Remember games like these, it'll make beating them sweeter in a few years.

at least the goaltending battle is settled for the next little while Howard deserves a chance if he doesn't play well go with whoever has played better. but right now there isn't a clear cut number one

I wouldn't be opposed to missing the playoffs because the team might finally get a top 10 pick although it would require a serious tank job for the last games.

It's like people forget that and everyone acts like the team needs to win a cup every other year or else were useless. What we do need to do however is either make some big trades to become a contender again or do an actual rebuild. I'll agree with that. I just hate the Chicago has won three cups argument.

Can we give Andreas Anawhatshisname top 6 ice time? He's the only player that creates his own offense right now. At the very least can he not be last in ice time?

I was being snarky but seriously the guy looks like a stud right now. I get not giving him a ton of ice team since he's a rookie and probably blows coverages and spots but if he's our best offensive player right now freaking unleash him until someone else steps up. 9 min of ice time tonight after scoring 2 goals last game and creating a spark every time he touched the puck tonight. The offense is anemic and the playoff window is closing, stop waiting for the vets to do their job.

The most laughable thing is the idea that anyone on this team, starting at the very top of the organization down to the healthy scratches for the night, would even think about tanking,,, or think that they're in a place where tanking is the appropriate course for the team.

You guys can dream about this team taking that route... and why you'd ever want the team to suck horribly is BEYOND ME... but we're a long way from there.
