He hasn't been any worse than most of the team, yet everyone wants him gone.

Yeah because hes a 35 year old UFA, and has no future on the team; and brings nothing to it now. Rather give his PP time to AA.

Still think we should just stack 1 PP for the whole 2 minutes.

Lucky it's only 3-2 boys. Come out in the third like you want to win.

Short handed to start the third..of course.

yeah horrible period, getting closed off by the panthers seemingly at will, owned physically and caught a lucky early whistle

Side note - Datsyuk has 8 PP goals this year of his 15. He's the new Nyquist aka King of PP goals.

I was wondering why there was talk in the other thread about not wanting to bring him back after next season...

Until you said this, I forgot thst if you primarily score on the pp you're value is somehow diminished.

What did you expect from a 35 year old vet making $3 million? 90+ points like he had 6 years ago? He's been fine for what he signed for. He's got the same amount of points as Helm, who will probably get some huge extension while Richards will be gone. No one expected him to stick around past this season. He's scored some clutch goals, is a veteran presence who has won two cups, and i think if the Wings make the playoffs he'll good to have around.

Timely scoring, burying their chances, PP goals...all great signs. Now just close it out!

Also worth noting - Larkin could have taken the shot the moment the puck landed on his stick. He hesitated ever so slightly to fake out #51 Campbell and open the shooting lane. That's veteran patience right there. He's one special kid.

Seriously, almost all of his goals came at really clutch moments.

I don't get all the hats for him at all.

Ha.

And rabble raiser loses the bout.
