There's no doubt they can hang with the top teams. It's consistently playing to the best of their abilities that they have a problem with. When they win a game like this, you'd think they'd get a confidence boost and keep playing that way instead of slacking off.

Odd feeling... I thought Kronwall was still injured so I wondered who would replace him until I see that Kindl was in the penalty box and I said: "oh no! They called up Kindl!!!" So I thought how bad the coach is to call-up Kindl over Ouellet and co. Then I realized he was playing for Florida... Phewwww!

I just think they are inconsistent. They can play with the best when everything clicks, but when they suck, they really suck.

Every goal save for the EN, had a wing or collection of Wings in front of the net. That's how you win. Someone said they can't skate with Florida. BS!! They can skate with any team in the league they have that kind of speed, even 52,40,13,55 can keep up to a degree. Btw, anyone else notice we've scored 11 goals since Manthas call up? I love what I'm seeing from this kid, he does make plays along the boards and goes to the net. That's all I want, his first will be coming soon. Can't wait

You need net front presence, thats for sure. That is what a lot of us meant by Holland should've changed the makeup of this team at the deadline. That is why a player(s) like Okposo or Hartnell would've help us out. Hopefully these last two gut check wins help propel them into a solid playoff spot. For all the drama, they are only 3 points out of 3rd place. A nice 5 game win streak could mean possibly a 2nd place finish. I am encouraged by the last two games and if they pull off another win in TPA, we could be looking good. We need to handle our business, but help from other teams is always appreciated!

The only consistent team is Washington amd MAYBE Florida. Everyone is equally good/bad. The race is that tight.. Seems like we suck but the truth of the matter is the parity is ridiculous.

That said our offense is below average for sure. But our possession is above average and goaltending is well above average.

I think our defense is causing our offense to suck. They can't pass the puck fast enough, they can't defend good enough and most of the times they just throw the puck up the ice to no one just to get it out of the zone even if no one is around them. They are possession killers. The only one that can pass over 50 feet properly is Green.

Yeah Washington is scary good with seemingly no holes. I remember the wings loss to them was the only time I felt the wings came out and played their game but was just completely outmatched
