I'm trying hard not to get excited about the Sens lead. If we get in because of that, it won't feel good. I want our team to win today.

If I could throw puppies off a scaffold to make the playoffs, I would. Don't care how it happens.

Nobody here thinks we can do anything in the playoffs. Even John Kasich doesn't have that kind of optimism. I just want to watch some games next week.

Not exactly...

ah yeah... win cause if you get thrown into the playoffs because other teams sucked slightly more you will have no confidence and probably be a joke in the 4 games you manage to get

I've been telling my friends all season if the Wings make it, wouldn't surprise me if they make a run.

Even with the good news with the Sens, Detroit should still take care of their own business and not rely on other teams. We'll take it, but it isn't ideal.

Playoffs are a whole new season, teams will do whatever it takes to get in. Anything can happen..

Let's keep the Boston updates to a minimum in here, please. I realize it's important, but this is the Wings GDT and there's more chatter about the other game. Updates are fine, but less is more.

Someone should've made a GDT for that game!! :D

Ottawa up 4-1.

Reminds me of the night 3 buddies and I went to Tiger Stadium the night they clinched the AL East in 84. Got there waaaay early and the Tigers magic # was 1, a win by them or a Blue Jays loss and it was the division. The Tigers started slowly but Boston started beating th bejeesus out of the Jays like 7-1 and then 9-2 and the party was on in those upper deck bleachers early.
