He's out there out of respect, makes the wings a worse team I can see AA getting seriously pissed... just glued to the bench the whole third period. Blashill has no balls. Just runs this team the way Babcock did despite all this evidence. Only way Zetterberg stops eating all this teams minutes is if he asks blashill himself. Realistically, I can see Holland sending Larkin, AA and Mantha back down to the AHL and say something like they are kids, need to grow more and then go sign some old guys. xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted April 9, 2016 Everyone can point at this player or that goalie, but the heart of loss like today, fall square on the coach's shoulders. You have EVERYTHING to play for, the other team is playing their second stringers and they couldn't get it done. To hell with talent, will power alone should have been enough to get the job done in this scenario and it wasn't. THIS is on the coach. He needs to motivate, get these guys excited, hungry, angry. Sometimes they just look scared. They play like they have no heart at all. Unfortunately, Blashill's a young first year coach and its a learning experience for him. We can't give up on him this early. Its not like he took a Stanley Cup contender and turned them into a lottery team. Having said that, I'm afraid to see what's going happen in the playoffs. It was just a Clusterf*** And yet, we not only make playoffs but are not even a wildcard. Holland won't do anything significant. He's done all he wanted, which was of course to keep the streak alive. I actually think that he believes that if you just get in, anything is possible. But really, when's the last time a Cinderella team won the Cup? but hey, we like our team, right? not for winning, mind you, but just b/c they really are just a great group of guys.
