Hahaha love watching the Hawks melt down, if there's any solace in us going out early it would be if the Blues could actually finish the deal in Game 5.

Guys, this is 2016, it doesn't belong in the game anymore. I've heard from guys that have played in the NHL 10-15 years ago who used to talk like that all the time in games, but they agree it no longer has a place and needs to be gone. I'm like most and get annoyed with the super PC sensitive stuff, but this is really over the line.

Plopstar...guys have been fined or suspended before for giving the middle finger

A guy yelling at the ref from the box which the camera has no business focusing on for the entire time until the face off is over the line? Give me a break. Why are they broadcasting that no matter what he says? Whether it's a slur or just foul language? The point is you can't be mad about the one and not the other. They're professionals. But guess what, they're also human and that was a BS call to make at that point in a playoff game and he expressed himself as such. I would have been telling the guy I would murder his wife in front of him but I'm not a professional either.

I couldn't agree more. I also find the PC world we live in annoying, but their are certain words that cross a line due to a history of violence and hate, and that is word is one of them. I think the uproar may be due to people being uneducated in the meaning of the word, or if its not, its just sad.

A f*****t is a collection of sticks. Way back when, people used to use that word when asking someone to throw sticks in a fire (ie. Can you please throw some f****s in the fire.)

Then there came a time where people thought that homosexuals should be burned alive for being so, and as a result of this line of thinking were refereed to as f****s. (ie. we should throw those f****s in the fire).....hence the extreme hate behind the word, and why people are so sensitive to that word.

By the way, I'm not sure why Chicago being on the brink of elimination should really be a big story either....STL is the better team after all. Although, in my mind, it should be a bit of story that these two teams are matched up in round 1 though.

While that may be true but did anyone realistically expect the Hawks bowing out in 5 games? The Blues are a fantastic team and are playing the brand of hockey I like but this outcome has to be surprising. If you think about it with the right calls in game 2 they would have swept! the champions already. To me that should be a big story and raise some questionmarks for the Hawks?

As soon as Chicago singed Toews and Kane to those ridicoulas deals, the writing was on the wall. Reminds me of when the Ravens signed Flacco to a 28 million deal and lost half their team to never be the same again. Not that Chicago has reached that low by any stretch, but I think their cup run is over.

Not me, St. Louis has never shown to be a team built for the playoffs with their constant first round exits. Hopefully for them, this a the start of a team that can actually win in the playoffs.

Though, lets not put it past Chicago to win 3 in a row. Its not over until its over.

When I was in high school I had used the word "***" and got a detention.

More than a decade later I'm still upset about that.

Lol jk I'm not. Cause WHO CARES. Jeez idk who whines and cries more. The PC group or the anti-pc group. Bunch of sensitive folks man. Ya'll have some deep issues.

Shaw's an idiot. Know your audience you're on national TV. Whole situation is dumb and hilarious at the same time. Maybe Trump will intervene and make the NHL great again xD

Chicago's response:

We are extremely disappointed in Andrew Shaw's actions last night. His comments do not reflect what we stand for as an organization. We are proud to have an inclusive and respectful environment, and to support various initiatives such as the You Can Play Project and the Chicago *** Hockey Association. We will use this opportunity to further educate our players and organization moving forward, so that we all may learn from it."
