Why oh why can't Ericsson be out!!!

I noticed Quincey hobbling slightly during game 2, hardly noticeable unless you glimpse it and focus in on it. I'm guessing an upper leg injury.

With that said the noble Ericsson stays in of course. How rude.

Glendenning - Abby - Sheahan will be playing against the johnson line, already confirmed by Helene

Never understood the strategy of creating a line to "shut down" an opposing teams top line; when said line will not produce any offence at all. This just means youre wasting 20 minutes of the game not scoring. If the other team's top line scores just once, youre basically starting a 2 period game down 1-0.

Don't know if translating my brain to a post makes sense there but I'm not a fan of this strategy lol

I'd like to use Dats - Helm -AA against that line since it has a balance of speed/offence/defence. (You know, what an ideal top line has)

Those players wouldn't produce much offense anyway. Their top line is the difference in this series. Take them out of the equation and who we have left outscores who they have left. I understand the frustration with the strategy - it would be great if we had a top line with grit and scoring ability - but Game Two showed us that we do not and that we have to try something new.

Top six are Larkin-Zetterberg-Nyquist and Helm-Datsyuk-Richards.

Um where the heck is Tatar lol

Nice to see some changes possibly coming!

Tatar is now locked IN his house!

Q is probably hurt... sprained his beard, perhaps. Wings will win this one, I think. If they are not embarrassed and ANGRY about the stupidity of the last game in particular - from the officiating to their own bone-headedness - they really don't stand a chance. I am not bashing Blashill as the total reason they are so ... well, bad. The players have the responsibility out there on the ice.

Mrazek will have a LOT to prove tonight... I am squarely in his corner and in Jimmy's as well. The losses in Tampa were certainly not on Jimmy. Challenge is out for Nyquist and Tatar - if he's playing - to show up! Now or never, Wings.

Thank you for the GDT, Mikey. LGRW!!!!

I bet they are going to try and match-up the new Glendening Line against Johnson's line

I love that line. Not happy Andersson is still in but at least they mixed up the lines. Tats is obviously being demoted on paper but it probably wont last long.

Just pisses me off it took the third game to try something else because the first 2 times didn't work.

What is their to understand? That line has killed us. Create a line to stop them, any scoring from our guys on that line is a bonus. That line has some speed and some grit, I like the move a lot. Someone has to be in Johnson's mug all night. I have a feeling it may be Glendening's turn to take that role.

So our most physical and arguably best Defenceman (through 2 games) is out for Mr. Nothing (Smith doesn't get points, hits, blocked shots, etc), and our most physical and arguably best forward (through 2 games) is now playing on the 4th line?

I get the chess match but my god.

Our top 3 lines literally might not register a single hit tonight? Did we watch the end of Game 2?

They're still going to score.

Our only chance is to keep up with it, our team defence is far too horrible to be trying to win close games

So Andersson and Pulkinnen are in over Tatar?

I know Tats hasn't been that great but we are relying on Z and D far too much. We are basically going all in with our top 6 (which includes Nyquist Helm and Richards) to produce our offence.

I think they need to shake it up and put Z on the third line... Nyquist and Helm better step up, if they don't want to book tee times. Abby is a beast... Wing for life, I hope!

I agree with Z.

I still think AA in the top 6 is the key factor here to generating offence.

Abby - D - AA

Lark - Richards/Z - Nyquist/Tatar

Just Read Khans tweet quoting Blashill "Smith is in, he can provide a spark, not sure who's out - will decide before warmups". Followed up by: "Smith hasn't been out because he was bad, he was out because I have 7 good Defenceman and I can only play 6"

LOL

I would argue that he has 1 or 2 Good Defenceman but has to play 6... As for the spark? Smith had 2 assists in his past 17 games before being scratched for a month...? Sure! throw him into the fire in a must win Game 3 - without knowing who your going to sit - because his offense is just too dynamic to ignore?

Am I missing something?
