We played a good game and won. Mrazek was average but the D in front of him was much better which gave him an easy night. We all should be happy.

We all should enjoy it for I fear it will be short lived. This season has shown all of us fans that this team can't play 2 good games in a row.

Big thing I notice is the team was feeding heavily off the crowd. Was fantastic to see.

Blashill is an idiot when it comes to AA. He makes no sense at all listening to this presser.

I am with you 100%. I just ranted about this in "Fixing this mess" What other coach in any sport would say this? This stubbornness and lack of logic is disturbing. People like that rarely change. We are in for a long road of misery here. Dave Lewis Junior.

Our best 200 Foot game of the series... Which is what we need to focus on if we want to win.

Looks like if were going to score 2 goals every game, Mrazek is undoubtedly the right guy. He has 3 Shutouts in 8 Playoff games against TB... A remarkable % to say the least.

No I didn't like Quincey being scratched - but I will also say that Smith had a great game...No idea where that has been all year but I'm hoping for another one tommorow.

For all the people who love to chew out Blashill: This was the 1st game of the series the game wasn't tied in the 3rd period. If we won Game 1 - which we should have - I wonder how different the tone would be around here?

Keep in mind this was his 1st home playoff game, and he dominated the matchups all night.

Mrazek Interview -

What were you thinking what you grabbed Smith in bear hug to keep him from retaliating on Coburn?

“I try just to hold him a little bit just so he don’t bump him and get two minutes and it would be four or four. They would probably pull the goalie so I try to just hold him se we’d get the power play.”

Mrazek knows his boy Smith too well.

A lot of fans are echoing this sentiment, but that simply isn't true. If it was, we wouldn't even be in the playoffs. Prior to mid-February this was a pretty good team and threatening to take first in the division. It's only over the past couple months that the team has struggled to consistently put together good showings. With the end of Game 2 and Game 3 being a very physical and intense contest, I'd be really surprised to see the Wings look flat for Game 4.

I'd really like to share your optimism, but Blashill isn't inspiring confidence in me and this goes back before the playoffs. I don't see any signs of strategy or adaptability and we have boatloads of promising offensive players under performing while hungry young guys sit. And our D? Enough said. Buck has to stop somewhere, but maybe Holland is calling the shots on who plays. If true, then both are failing to do their jobs.

This is what I'm worried about. Right back to the game against Philly. They played a great game all-round. Then crap on themselves for the next two. We all want to be wrong about this. But does this team have it in them to play this way again the very next game? Wishing so...

wasted an $8 beer, but yeah. LOL~ And Boyle's chicken dance made me laugh. More fuel for the Big Red Wing Machine...

Boyle's the chicken. If Abby fought he would have been suspended. I had to deal with a guy like Boyle as a teenager. It's sad when the biggest guy throws his weight around and picks fights with smaller guys, and people who can't fight. Great job by that fan hitting him with the beer.

I believe we are wittnessing a rivalry developing and I like it alot. This is the most fun I have had watching the Wings in the playoffs for a while. The insense nasty playoff hockey is awesome and I have been missing that. Abby is having a big impact and is creating a story in the series. Every series have stories and Abby is in the middle of one. I just hope we'll see some clutch goals from him too. The bolt fans can't stop talking about him and I'm sure he is in the heads of the players too ;)
Smith is awesome and needs to be on the ice. AA needs more ice time (less than 10min last game). I am waiting for tatar to break out and go beast mode. I might have irrational feelings for Tatar but I believe he is a strongly emotional player who is capable of rising above his average skill level more than most players can. He can be our playoff clutch performer..he just needs to get that fire lit... when it's lit - watch out :)
Looking forward to the game tonight. I hope the wings can find a consistently, confident play, we obviously need it to get 15 more wins. I honestlty believe this team can win the cup. If you consider all the pieces and the potential we have on the team, we have what it takes to win. Sure, we need some ideal circumstances :innocent: .....everyone playing up to their potential and rise above it (clutch situations), consistency throuought the team (minimum mistakes), mrazek stealing a few, puck luck and overall a rise in everyones play. Most cup winning teams get some favourable situations on their journey and most teams also gets contribution and unexpected plays from unthinkable players. Lets be optimistic and believe we'll get some of that. The win in Detroit was a taste of the complete and confident team we can be. It was the first step, now they need to secure and build on this to keep developing into cup winners. :)

LGW!!!

Wings are playing tomorrow Tuesday.

Hope you are right about Tatar. I just don't see it but I could be wrong.
