NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 That didn't take long I burned em with this little number I made a long time ago. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2E8VwaucpI8 a Calgarian friend of mine was pissed off about that cup. Not only because they lost, but because after it was all over they showed downtown Calgary packed supporting the Flames, and meanwhile in Tampa, the streets were empty. Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 He's just pissed because he knows this is their last season with stamkos and if by some miracle Detroit plays lights out and wins the series they will have seen the last of stammy. Then they will go back to being irrelevant as always. But on a side note, during the regular season, it's half wings fans at the wings games. But the playoff games I just attended was maybe a few hundred wings fans and the other 49,000 lightning fans. People in Tampa def like their bolts. They're the only bright spot they have with the bucs and rays stinking the place up. Now c'mon, I wonder how many of those "fans" were paid to be there. HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 I hope he doesn't. As much of a jerk he may be - he's entitled to his opinion...I want this to be a rallying cry for the Wings. I understand he's entitled to his opinion but you gotta be professional and watch what you say on social media. I mean why do some jobs look at your Facebook and Twitter then? plopster 136 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 Now c'mon, I wonder how many of those "fans" were paid to be there. Maybe not paid, but maybe got the tix on the cheap or free. My bet is on they have a lot of season ticket holders, they just don't come out until playoffs. There are a lot of people in Tampa with a ton of money. They don't really like hockey, but they just want to be "cool" and say they were at the playoffs. a Calgarian friend of mine was pissed off about that cup. Not only because they lost, but because after it was all over they showed downtown Calgary packed supporting the Flames, and meanwhile in Tampa, the streets were empty. Hmmm. Now I will have to search for their cup parade footage and see how few people came out.
plopster 136 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 Yeah, doesn't look nearly as packed as it should be. But decent amount considering it was prolly 98° with 90% humidity.
The Datsyukian Deke 127 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 Well... Abdelkader did look like a chump. At least drop the gloves and give him a big hug or throw him on the ground rather than look at the ref, shrug your shoulders and look like a giant vageen. That and someone throwing beer at the player? Dick move. That is the definition of classless and it's also a sin to waste a $15 USD beer like that. If you did that in Canada your buddy standing next to you jersey's you, give you a beat down, makes you walk home and drinks any roadie's you left in the car. Wait a second..they charge 15$ for a beer? What size is that beer?
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Lol one article from the free press and this twitter account will be gone. Why? People thousands of people would be tweeting at him and he'll shut it down. Edited April 19, 2016 by kickazz
NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 Hmmm. Now I will have to search for their cup parade footage and see how few people came out. No no, I don't mean the Cup parade, I meant right after game seven ended.
plopster 136 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 No no, I don't mean the Cup parade, I meant right after game seven ended.Oh. Well I guess the only people that knew what was going on were in the arena. There's prolly only like 100k people in the city that know what hockey is. Wait a second..they charge 15$ for a beer? What size is that beer? was $26.25 for two beers at Amalie arena. And one was a mich ultra 😒

Maybe it isn't accurate, but I read that Abby's hand was taped up from the beat down he put on Blunder. If it is, it's an automatic suspension. 1 Internet.Unknown reacted to this

If it is, it's an automatic suspension. that's what abby said in the post game interview. plus you can see abby holding his hand with the glove hanging off and asking the ref if it's a misconduct. plopster 136 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 Caps are chokers, but yeah this could be their year. Philly is easy pickings for them, but it will only get harder. We'll see. True. But the only other team in the east that will challenge them is the Pens. I mean, the panthers, isles, Rangers, lightning or wings can't do anything with that. Whoever comes out of the west will be the only test to how good the caps are.

Agreed, but ya never know what can happen. Anaheim sweeping a stacked Detroit roster coming off a cup win in the first round in 2003 comes to mind.

xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted April 21, 2016 Agreed, but ya never know what can happen. Anaheim sweeping a stacked Detroit roster coming off a cup win in the first round in 2003 comes to mind. That playoff season was a crime against the game of hockey. JS Giguere wore pads that were in no way regulation size. They swept us, beat the Stars in 6 and nearly went the entire series without giving up a goal in a sweep against the Wild. You never know what can happen, but the NHL won't let that garbage happen again.

You never know what can happen, but the NHL won't let that garbage happen again. He also won the Smythe while on the losing team in the Finals. And yeah, his gear was always bigger than regulation, even after the crackdown on size, and he always got away with it.
