It's a good thing we never tried to fix the PP all season long. And it's a good thing Athanasiou barely saw the ice tonight. And it's a good thing we played not to lose.

And Nyquist, my God. Shoot the goddamn puck and actually hit the net for once. He needs to be gone, his performance this season has been terrible. Not just stats-wise, but his confidence is completely gone, and he's a totally different player than he was in the first two years. Tatar I'd be okay with keeping, because at least he is a little spitfire and brings something. But Nyquist is just dead weight who scores once in a while.

s***ty outcome, but we just weren't very good this year. We didn't deserve to get in, but thankfully the Bruins sucked worse than us and gave us one last playoff series for the Magic Man. Love him, will miss him, but this series showed it's time.

Mrazek gave us a chance, turnover is part him sure, but Ericsson sitting against the boards and Kronwall asleep in front of the net take more blame for me. Speaking of blame, Dopey Jeff showed that he was a rookie coach is this series. Not one single adjustment or player switch on the PP the whole series, could've used an effective powerplay what with the whole scoring 8 goals in 5 games thing. Kid in GR looked alright on the PP and scored a few goals in junior and the AHL but what do I know?

Off to the offseason now, and dreams of Stamkos will dance in my head for sure!

Just a pathetic offence we have.

Don't take this thr wrong way but i'm not gonna miss pav at all and he's my third fave of all time. He's a shell of anything he used to be. Retire on your own terms. Clearly he's hurting ALOT in his lower body

Yeah, Pav looks like a shell of his former self, that's for sure. I just wish he would have made his intentions known earlier, or that Holland and company could have at least seen that this team wasn't going to contend in the playoffs.. kids or no kids in the lineup. They're not good enough.

I know there's alot of history here, and Pav and Z mean alot to this organization, but at some point, you have to remember, this is a business. Moving them, for value does much more for helping build your team to keep it solid for the future than painting a big black 25 on center ice does.

Nyquist actually outscored Tatar in the playoffs. I want both gone. I'm willing to replace them anybody.

this was more than just a disappointing loss to me. if you look into the future there isnt much.

i use to look forward to every damn game days in advance. call me a bad fan but i cant watch a team struggle every night and suck its just too frustrating for me just isnt fun for me and makes me way too cranky. i put way too much emotion into these games.

if no changes and datsyuk leaves this team will be just like toronto next season.

go big holland or go home.

good luck in the future datsyuk and detroit

LOL

It's probably true, though. Babcock would've tried to fix the PP. Babcock would've started Mrazek instead of the Howard experiment. Babcock probably wouldn't have buried Athanasiou because Athanasiou busts his ass and Babcock loves that sort of thing. Babcock would've buried Tatar or Nyquist long ago. Babcock would never have let them sit back and not give a s*** for the whole season.

Also, this is a better team (or should have been) than last year and Tampa was worse. We dominated Tampa most of this series. Babcock definitely would've gotten us a bit farther. Hardly laughable.

I know, but watching the two Nyquist just doesn't seem to have that ability to consistently outperform someone like Tatar. They both were disappointments, but Nyquist is just something else and beyond frustrating to watch. He brings down all the lines he's on.

Because thats what happened last year ehh

Tampa had Stamkos, Stralman, and J.T. Brown last year. Babcock was coaching a roster that was inferior to the one Blashill coached this year. Edited by barabbas16
