I don't think Yzerman would have been savior either. This team has been declining for 6 years and we need to stop duct taping this team together for the sake of a meaningless streak. The problem is Ilitch wants a competitive team when the pizzarena opens up so I don't see us blowing things up for another couple of years.

"Meaningless streak."

The owner and GM disagree with you.

one year, $5.75 million for Radulov in Montreal

Dreger says Wings offered 4.5

Glad to see we aren't the only fan base losing it today. Montreal fans are coming unglued. Trade away PK and replace his character with Radulov lmao

Losing is kind of like getting into quicksand. You'll need something strong to pull you out and you should never willing get into it. People that think we should "tank it" for the sake of getting high quality prospects from the lottery should take a look at Columbus and Edmonton. Sure we'll get the best of the best from some particular draft, but the best of the best could be the next Alexandre Daigle, Alexei Yashin or Patric Stefan. Not to mention, if you're losing, its harder to draw in quality free agents. The Wings did a pretty nice job of building the 2008 championship team through the draft without being terrible for a number of years.

Dear god .. Let's add more soft forwards

At this point best thing to do is sign Matt Martin for grit even though holland was idiotic enough to sign Miller and helm and ship off nyquist and some other pieces for defensemen

Get down on his knees and beg Nill to take Ericsson

I'm almost expecting us to resign Quincey

And we did that by getting super draft steals in Datsyuk, Zerterberg, Kronwall and others. If it's not a rebuild that's the only thing we can hang our hat on now.

Wouldn't mind Boedker if that meant Nyquist was traded for a stud defenseman.

Problem with boedker is he'd get more money than nyquist and longer term and he ain't worth it
