unsaddleddonald 357 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 From the Auston Matthews Sports Network, you mean I hear he's gonna be great. Unless Toronto doesn't draft him. In which case Bill Nylander will have a better career than him.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 I hear he's gonna be great. Unless Toronto doesn't draft him. In which case Bill Nylander will have a better career than him. Seriously though. Every time the guy touches the puck TSN turns it into a must see moment. He is in their headlines daily. More than Crosby or McDavid EVER were. And it got quite bad with those two. MrazekFanBoy 223 Report post Posted May 18, 2016 Why is it annoying to hype up future stars of the league, atleast it isn't awkward Connor or Sid I'm still a kid Crysby
Krayzie_Bone 58 Report post Posted May 18, 2016 This year I wanted far less hockey than I have in over 10 years. You can not even get excited for a goal anymore because you just have to wait for it to be reviewed. So many times they cant even get the replay call right. They have slowed down and made the game much less exciting. Baseball is doing the exact same thing.

He is only getting the hype because Toronto has the first over all pick. If it were a team like Columbus with the first over all pick, us folks here in Canada would barely hear about him. The second the kid struggles, the media and fan base will turn on the kid. He is being set up as the Leafs saving grace. That's not the kind of pressure you want to put on an 18 year old kid. You have tons of good young rookies to watch. The rise of new powerhouse teams in Dallas and Florida. Ovie scored 50 again. Almost every playoff series has been brutal and close. And teams like Los Angeles and Chicago fell off. I probably watched more NHL hockey this year than I have in a decade. 1 MabusIncarnate reacted to this

I'm with you for sure, loved seeing the big dogs go down in the first round, there were some great rookies and surprise teams this year, and sure, while it wasn't the best season to be a Red Wings fan, it was a tremendous one to be a NHL fan.
