Euro_Twins 4,475 Report post Posted June 9, 2016 Not really had that whole Bolts team been at full health including Bishop... Don't forget they were whipping Pittsburghs ass without Stamkos, and if Jon Cooper wasn't a damn idiot when it came to utilizing his forwards cough cough Stamkos we would've seen Tampa sweep this sorry ass Sharks team. LA & CHI Never would've went out like this and that's two other teams in the league better than Pitt besides Tampa. Offensive pressure my ass with Bishop in net and Stamkos coming up the ice on odd man rushes for a whole seven game series and the best defenseman on the other team is Kris Prettyboy Letang? The only people on Pittsburgh who deserve credit is the depth Crosby and Sullivan This run is all based on luck, the caps choked and failed to impose there will on a team they should've smoked on paper, the Rangers were pretty much riding Lundqvist coattails for any chance they could've had and he's at the end of his prime, and the bolts were just beat up and the coach couldn't use one of the best goal scorers in the world properly because he was too fixated on his system. How is Fluery to blame when it's Murrays fault he even got in the net in the first place lol So it's Jon coopers fault stamkos got a blood clot and only played in their last game and made it to the conference finals without their star center? MrazekFanBoy 223 Report post Posted June 9, 2016 This run is all based on luck and to top it all off they get to play the worst playoff team in the history of the league in the final, SJ best two centers are Couture 2nd liner and Pavelski who's just a solid two way guy with a good one timer on a team with skilled passers I'd say his stats are inflated he plays with joe friggin Thornton ovi would score 70-85 on that sharks team The Sharks are simply too beat up they had to beat LA NASHVILLE AND the BLUES the three biggest teams in the league probably they have nothing left to give they never had a chance to keep up with this team So it's Jon coopers fault stamkos got a blood clot and only played in their last game and made it to the conference finals without their star center? he hasn't utilized Stamkos skill set since he got there and it shows.. Not one fifty goal season for a guy who couldn't stop scoring before coop came yeah I'd say it's his fault, now that wouldn't have been so glaring if his team was healthy because the series likely never even would've reached a game 7. Luck?? they're lucky that they've outchanced their opponent by an average of 25 high danger scoring chances every series? Dude please stop lmao i bet you think the 08 wings run was all about luck since they faced no good teams in that entire run Edited June 9, 2016 by shocky2002

But they were beat up much like Tampa and the caps were just a choke job like I said the pens got lucky to be in this final, had Tampa or even Montreal been healthy it surely would've been one of them

plopster 136 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 Can't wait to see the vlasic Crosby story next game. The guy sure has a knack for trying to start s*** with people at the end of a game he's clearly about to lose (cross checking Z multiple times). Was almost starting to think he was over acting like a cry baby *****.

Jacksoni 418 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 I expected a fold by the Sharks but was met with a goal-fest the first five minutes of the game, didn't expect that but glad to see that the fishes still have some fight left in them. The next one is at home in the shark-tank, hopefully that'll translate into another win. Wouldn't want Pittsburgh to get another cup.

The next one is at home in the shark-tank, hopefully that'll translate into another win. Wouldn't want Pittsburgh to get another cup. Before this game, I thought of our Game 5 against Pittsburgh in 2008. Up 3-1 with a chance to win at the Joe. We had pretty much dominated the whole series, but we came out tight, gave up two goals early before catching fire and scoring goals. That's kind of how this game went too with a similar outcome. That pressure to clinch at home with a huge series lead and the other team desperate is tough. Martin Jones stole that game. There were so many times I thought that puck was in and he stoned them. As for the rest of the team, they were pretty pathetic. The final shot totals were 46-21. Now I know that stat can sometimes be misleading, but that's not the case here. After those goals, SJ couldn't get any kind of sustained pressure for the rest of the game, outside of a power play. It was all these "pass, pass, one timer from wherever that may or may not be close or hit the net, skate back into your own end" plays. The Sharks cannot win the Cup playing like this. I'm amazed they won 2 games.

Would have been nice if we could just let those 32 seconds pass without giving up a goal. I screamed at the TV throughout those three overtimes. toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 I actually thought last night's game was more lob-sided in the Pens favour than most of the other games in the series. Jones was fantastic and has a lot of luck with posts as well. Shots were ridiculous, something like 46-23....that doesn't always tell the story, but scoring chances were even more ridiculous...based on the eye test anyway. Would have been nice if we could just let those 32 seconds pass without giving up a goal. I screamed at the TV throughout those three overtimes. Yeah, I felt that series ending would have been better if they had just held on and won it at the Joe. That Rafalski goal is one of my favorite goals ever, it would have been nice if it was the GWG. Having said that though, it was special to me personally because a guy named Nick (which is also my name) picked up the Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh (my hometown) in the same season in which my son was born a half mile away from the arena. Nick Lidstrom receiving the Stanley Cup a half mile away from where I received my son (who is a HUGE Wings fan now) into this world in the same season was a sweet irony. So while clinching in Detroit would have been great, there was some good that came from winning it in Pittsburgh too. 1 55fan reacted to this
