I remember something about it, but can't remember exactly how it all went down... Regardless, that doesn't change the point that we have plenty cap space to sign both remaining RFA's, and it will likely happen before they reach arbitration... The way I remember it is he was awarded his 2 year contract through arbitration, but decided to play in the KHL instead (maybe wasn't happy with the ruling). He is getting paid what a top 4 defenseman will get this and following years except that he took a longer term which is great for us. I was just about to write a few hours earlier that I predict 5 x 5 and I think I have written those numbers in the past here. The "extra" 6th year at 5 million is a nice bonus.
