Fans rank front offices....Wings 21st

This list is a joke, just a few "rankings" that baffle:

Arizona - 7th

Buffalo - 9th

Winnipeg - 10th

Chicago - 12th

Toronto - 13th

Carolina - 14th

Anaheim - 19th

LA - 20th

So according to this, the management teams of Anaheim and LA are not at the level of teams such as Arizona, Buffalo, and Winnipeg as those teams just ooz of success. This list seem to have a bias towards teams that tank. In what world is Chicago (as much as I hate them) ranked lower the Arizona???

Perhaps fans aren't happy about giving up a 1st rounder on a rental just to be knocked out 1st round. But I still see your point.

I guess this "ranking" should be "fans rank management based on the last 3 months" that's what this really is.

Well these fans are supposed to decide how much confidence they would have in all of the the other management IF they were in charge of the team they root for.

Like we all like the Red Wings. So how much confidence would you have in, say, Lou Lamoriello and Brendan Shanahan and the rest of the Leafs management if they were in charge of the Red Wings in place of Ken Holland & Co.

So then you'd give a 1-10 ranking in those categories. I guess you'd have to take into account that those guys would no longer be under the Toronto media spotlight so they might do a little better in a different market...

Maybe it's just me, but the way they went about getting these rankings just seems to be a little...off?

I wouldn't even rank the Wings front office as <league average, tbh. There's so many idiots out there (Every canadian team, boston, philly, colorado, NYI) that make Ken Holland seem somewhat competent.

The best FO's are Pittsburgh, LA, Chicago, SJ and St Louis. No other team comes close, realistically speaking. I think Chicago is losing their edge though.. they had by far the best FO after the Wings glory years ended (2009-present).. but St Louis and Pittsburgh have significantly closed the gap, and both teams are gonna be dominant for years to come.

Chicago isn't "losing their edge" they sucked for a really long time and got a lot of really good/great young players and they were cheap. Now that they have to overpay these guys they can't afford to win anymore cups.
