Haha, does that sign say "Datsyuk is a communist"??

Well it was still the Soviet Union when he was born.

Fun Fact (Or Not So Fun): His hometown, Yekaterinburg, is where the Tsar Nicholas II and his family (including the now infamous Anastasia) were exiled and later executed.

Damn, that series had some of the best fan signs I've ever seen just due to their intentional banal nature.

great contribution to our general knowledge, I saw your avatar and couldn't help but read it like: "I don't always talk history, but when I do..."

And he was born, and is now interred, in St. Petersburg.

I can only assume that means that Datsyuk is actually Rasputin.

Damn, it's hard trying to keep track of who hates me & my 'abrasive personality' around here haha

great contribution to our general knowledge

I honestly wasn't sure if this was sarcastic or not when I first read it.

"I don't always talk history, but when I do..."

Then I read this and thought I might have hit a nerve (no pun intended, but damn I'll take it anyway!) with the 'political talk' by mentioning that Pavel was in fact born in the Soviet Union (and the not so fun fact). Considering its frowned upon to even mention that Konstintinov and company actual had to defect from and sneak out of the Soviet Union to come and play here. That and the fact that NHLers come from all over the Northern Hemisphere shhh! If you don't talk about it it's like it never even happened

But man oh man, did I go down the rabbit's hole of endless wikipedia articles after reading that the house where the executions took place was ominously named 'The House of Special Purpose'.

Anyway, Mrazek's mask.....AAANND We're back to our normal LGW's programming.

Calm down will ya, everything's gonna be fine, you're not gonna tear any wonky holes in any fabric of space and time, ...oh but nevermind. ERB anybody?

No sarcasm at all, I trully found it interesting. Don't know if it was true but I bet it's an interesting read. I just tried to be funny with the Interesting man quote, just didn't know how to finish it. So no animosity on my behalf either.

^I liked the pun, btw ;)

I know, I figured it out after a few moments. But still....This whole site would have been shut down over it!

I'ma shut up now before I get permbanned :bye:

The most interesting man doesn't always shut up. But when he does, it's to avoid a LGW permaban.

I already have 3 warning posts, which by rule should have resulted in said permaban already. I would have thought that, given my past encounters with them and their particularly negative view of what my personality bring to the site, they would have jumped at the chance to permaban me. But here I am. Jon Snow in the flesh come back from the dead to post again! Mwhahahahahaha!!!!! (Not in the flesh...in the digital, but whatever)

I'm sure I'll get permabanned eventually. Apparently having a personality that wants to have discussions on a discussion board is discouraged around here. :banned:

P.S. Thank science for computers' ability to spellcheck. I'd look a fool with the way I try to spell things sometimes.

Nor was Rasputin, he was born in Pokrovskotye and assassinated in Petrograd... besides the Magic, I see no connection to Datsyuk.

unless...

Really? It seems obvious...

1. Nicholas II was born in St.Petersburg, where Datsyuk now plays

2. Nicholas II was executed in Yekaterinburg, where Datsyuk was born

3. ?

4. Datsyuk is Rasputin

Plus, photoshopped pictures don't lie
