1. Neither Mrazek or Howard is our starting goalie by the end of the year.

2. Tatar will lead the team in goals, Nyquist will be on another team, Vanek will be a pleasant surprise.

3. The Wings will make the playoffs for the 26th straight year despite all these "experts" picking us to finish LAST (seriously?) in the Atlantic.

1. Was actually almost true lol

Vanek was indeed a pleasant surprise in my book

1. Matthews doesn't win the Calder.

2. McDavid wins the Art Ross and Rocket Richard trophies but not the Hart.

3. Nashville wins the cup in seven over the Sharks, who fall just short again.

2 & 3 are eerily close

Out-of-my-ass random boldness:

Ovie will not hit 30g this year

Dallas will be a mess and miss the playoffs

Edmonton finally quits sucking and gets in

2 for 3

I have three more

Abdelkader will never score 20 goals in a season again

AA will average under 14 minutes a night and still outscore Helm and Abdelkader

Detroit will be 4-6 points out of the playoffs near the deadline and Holland will make a desperation trade to get them in.  It will not work.

#2 Spot on

Hmmm...lots of good ones here.  And I'm reluctant to do any this year so as not to spoil my success from last year.  But here goes.

1.  The Colorado Avalanche lose in the Western Conference finals

2.  Tortorella fired midseason, Blue Jackets BARELY miss the playoffs

3.  Ovechkin FINALLY lifts the Cup, despite a down year in goal scoring.

Those two turned out the opposite

1) Jacub Trouba is traded to the Red Wings for Tatar and DD in November after a being a late holdout

2) Nashville wins the Stanley Cup against the Washington Capitals

3) Florida Panthers have a huge regression and do not make the playoffs

I feel like my predictions landed right in the middle. Though #1 was always wishful thinking.

#1 was wrong, 2 was close, 3 was right on.

Pulk and Frk will both be regular healthy scratches for their new teams by the end of December.  Some people wil still complain about losing them.

Smith will be one of the Wings' best defensemen.  This will not be a good thing.

Austin Mathews will run away with the Calder and the Leafs will still suck.

1) Yup

2) Yup

3) half right

One of.  Better than Kronwall, Ericsson, or any of the younger guys.  Only Green and Dekeyser were better

Lol no.

All of Green, Dekeyser and Jensen were better. When 3 people are better in a group of 6 that are on ice, you're not really in a "best" league anymore.

Jensen had a good stretch of maybe a dozen games then was fellated the rest of the season because of it.  He was BAD for more games than he was good.  Smith was better, but that's like saying he was the tallest person in Munchkin land.
