I've watched a lot of teams play this year and when the wings are off they are the worst looking team in the league. Goaltending is the only thing they can hang their hat on and be proud of

Even when we were on (see: six-game winning streak), it was stellar goaltending and unsustainably high shooting percentages that were carrying us.

I don't think the team is as bad as it's looked this weekend (Wings are playing stupid, stupid, stupid hockey), but, at the end of the day, this isn't an especially good team. Which we all pretty much knew before the season had even begun.

Whoever asked why Howard had played more games than the average backup, it's because of this.

that, and he's not really the back up... Howard is fine, it's our D that sucks.  But we have to make a controversy out of goalies here.

Let's push the panic button sheesh

There shouldn't even be a goalie battle.  if Petr is your #1 then play him like a number one   bad coachingredients in my opinion

Goalies need to get into a rhythm. Its hard to do that when you keep getting 3 or 4 days off so your backup can play. Mrazek had an amazing game in st louis so any intellligent coach would have went with him against boston.

Mrazeks career numbers against Boston are horrible so going with Howard wasn't an issue. Especially since Howard played so well. Welcome to the new NHL where backups are going to get 20+ games. That is a good thing with how Mrazek has shown an inability to keep his level of play up for a full year. True Mrazek had a strong game against St Louis but Howard was even better his previous starts. Mrazek despite his strong play has had a real issue with rebounds so far. He needs to sort that out. Hes started 6 of 9 so his rhythm cant be that off.

Mrazek has only himself to blame for his numbers.  Lets not deflect his performance and blame coaching and days off.  Besides, if Mrazek is unable to get into a rhythm if he has a couple days off between games, frankly he shouldn't be a number 1.

Having said that, the team in front of him is really leaving him hanging tonight.

Hes played 6 of 9 games. Hes getting played like a starter despite Howard leading the league in GAA and save %. This argument doesnt mean anything though as this teams problem is the team in front not the two goaltenders. Either one give the team a chance to win.
