NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 Hats and toques are $20 & up, t-shirts around $30, scarves $15 & up, sometimes there's people selling "farewell to the Joe" red t-shirts outside the arena for $10. As I saw parking is pretty expensive around the Joe, the farther away you get, the cheaper it gets, but you can spend from $20 - $35, you could park at the Greektown casino, I think it's cheap as long as you play a bit and get your ticket validated, then hop on the bus that takes you to the Joe and back. LeftWinger 4,961 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 I always parked Cobo Garage and walk thru Cobo to get there. Much Cheaper than JLA garage.
kliq 3,755 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 I always park at the lot a block away from cobo. It's $10 and a 1min walk from cobo. i prefer it over cobo as I have gotten stuck in cobo for over 30min before, in this lot you will be out in 30seconds. You just then cut through cobo like left suggested.
Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 I always parked at Hockey Town Cafe and it took their shuttle over. $10 to park.
chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 $25-$30 to park? That's insane! If I went down there with the rate of exchange how it is right now it would end up costing me $40 CDN. At least game tickets aren't crazy expensive though. I went to the ACC to see the Wings play the Leafs, and our four tickets cost $800 total. For nosebleeds!! That arena is sold out years in advance though, so people can pretty well name their price. Never again. Next time i'll go to Ottawa. Or Detroit to see the new arena someday if the ROE ever evens out.
