2017 WCF ANAHEIM DUCKS VS NASHVILLE PREDATORS

Yup.  He's ridiculous.  It's insane that in the course of two years the Preds lost Weber AND Jones and their defense is better than it was.  Must be nice.

Then again, Ryan Ellis is completely underrated and he's on the same team.  So maybe it's a trend.

Edit:  Oh, and Peter Laviolette is probably the league's most underrated coach, so it's probably a trend.

Counting guys that actually contribute to their teams...

Nashville loses: Suter, Weber, Jones, Del Zotto, Klein, and Franson (basically an entire Defensive unit, and a good one at that)

Nashville adds: Subban (one top pairing guy)

Still amazing

Detroit loses: Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stuart (a complete top pairing and a 2nd pairing guy)

Detroit adds: Green, Dekeyser (a complete 2nd pairing)

Worse than ever

Nashville is hella good at developing their young D men. We've been pretty bad.

Johansen out for the season.  So much for the Battle of the Ryans.

Not sure how they can generate offense without him.  They're already too reliant on their top line and he's their top center.  How do you overcome the top center being injured to win the Cup?

You dont, unfortunately.  He was the one who stirs the drink on that team.  They still have really decent wingers but no one to distribute the puck.

Gibson injured? If he's out for the playoffs the Ducks are screwed.

Even if Nashville wins the series, I'm not sure they'll have enough to Pittsburgh next round. Pittsburgh can survive the injuries, Nashville really can't

That's if Pittsburgh gets past Ottawa. Still a best of 3, and the Pens are lucky the Sens ran out of time in Game 5. Horrible time to take a penalty in the last minute of a one goal game with the goalie already out for the extra attacker. Lol

Yeah, Pittsburgh is the real winner here, as now both Anaheim and Nashville have some major injuries.  That evens things out for a battered Pens team.

Bernier you f***in sieve!

Figured they wouldn't survive an injury to Gibson. I guess if he's out for any significant time, the Ducks should pack it in anyway. Bernier won't win them a Cup.

Really? LOL!
