chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Was browsing Capfriendly team recalls and came across Malcolm Subban. His stats are great everywhere he's ever played, mostly GAA's under 2.50 where he spent any long term time as the starter. Except the NHL. The two games where he was given a chance at taking the backup role with Rask injured, he was rocked for 5-6 goals and promptly benched or sent back to Providence. I remember watching him play for Belleville in the OHL and thinking he'd be a big star NHL player like his brother. Hasn't happened.
ChristopherReevesLegs 7,022 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 He's a distraction to his teammates. If he can put the NBA attitude behind him and stop being such a defensive liability, he might be able to crack the lineup. 1 F.Michael reacted to this
chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Damn, didn't know he had a larynx fracture! That would be a deterrent to getting back in the net. The dangers of goaltending, even with today's somewhat overprotective gear. Goalies need to wear the Brodeur/Roy danglers again. Did that happen this season? Cause his stats in Providence were excellent for the games he played.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 Last season, and from the pic - he wears no 'shield' under his mask.https://www.nhl.com/news/malcolm-subban-injured/c-278484796 Crazy. No dangler there no, one on his Wiki profile pic though. Hopefully he wears it now. Weird stance in that NHL pic lol pretzel knees. chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted May 24, 2017 http://thehockeywriters.com/is-malcolm-subban-a-bust/Good article. This coming season could be his last chance with the Bruins organization. I'm sure they could find a team to take him on for a cheap trade with hope that he does much better with a change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think Jordan tops out as a decent 2nd pairing guy. 1 sjr2012 reacted to this
