I'm not too familiar with "The Draft Analyst", but I'm not going to take too much stock into anyone that has Svechnikov going number one ahead of Dahlin... Also, Tkatchuk dropping to 8th? Not going to happen.

Stick to the real draft analysts, Bob McKenzie and Craig Button.

I'm a little torn. I want Dahlin for sure. But there's no denying that sibling chemistry on ice is second to none. Both Svech brothers could be a huge asset to us if we end up with them as successful NHL players.

Can we just get 2 high picks?!?!

I think the drop off from Andrei to Evgeny is pretty significant though. One has the potential to be an elite top line winger. The other will likely be a middle six winger. That's not to say they couldn't play together if we did draft his little brother. I doubt it would ever be like the Sedin's though. Those two are (were) both elite, and they also had the whole identical twin thing as well. I'd like to get Andrei, but I'd probably go with Tkatchuk if I had the choice...

Maybe Svechnikov could just announce that he won't sign with anyone but Detroit. He drops in the draft, and gets taken by Holland with the Mike Green pick.

Dahlin and Svechnikov. Rebuild accelerated.

I'd imagine that professional athletes take a great deal of pride in where they are drafted, especially high first rounders. If the Wings didn't take him with their 5-10 pick, he sure as hell isn't going to sit around for the 29-31 pick to come around. I'd also imagine the league would see this as some sort of collusion, otherwise the Wings could just take him with their 7th round pick.
