Rumors of Alaine Vigneaut to LA if they continue to falter ... should Wings snag him first?

Vig only ever really did well with contending teams. Hes the type of coach you fire to start a rebuild. No, what we need is a guy who's good with kids. A guy who can train them up... perhaps someone with success at the AHL level?

I'd assume with Bylsma as a new assistant - he'd get the job if Blashill were let go.

Bylsma got fired from Buffalo ... his stock took a dive and never recovered for some reason.  Guy lost it.

Well - considering it was Buffalo, and apparently their golden child Eichel didn't like Bylsma...I'd take that all with a grain of salt.

That’s alright. Blashill never had it so better then him..

Yeah - Bylsma does have a Cup with Pittsburgh.

Make no mistake, Jack Eichel is managing, coaching, and playing on that team. He is their golden god.

Oh C'mon, Buffalo is playing over .500 hockey right now under new coach, Housley.  Bylsma should have done better even if golden boy wasn't his fanboy.  And if Eichel wasn't on the same page, you gotta ask, why wasn't he ... 'he's won a Cup with Pittsburgh'.  And why can't Bylsma do anything right now, he was hired to coach offense and special teams.

Add Casey Mittelstadt and Rasmus Dahlin to any team and they're bound to be better than they were.  That said, Buffalo probably shouldn't have been a juggernaut under Bylsma, but they should have been better.  A team with Eichel, O'Reilly, Reinhart, Okposo, Kane, Ennis, Ristolainen, etc. should probably not have been so far in the cellar.

Agreed with the later,  but Mittelstadt hasn't added much so far and Dahlin has been steady defensively but hasn't really chipped in the offense he was expected to. Ullmark has been good so far, and their top line of Skinner - Eichel - Pomminville has been carrying the team

The time to fire blashill would have been three years ago.  Now we are committed to the rebuild so we need a s***ty coach to maximize our chances of a good draft pick.  Then when the cupboard is adequately stocked, we shop for a competent head coach.

LA is a competitive team. Blashill is good with kids. Nuff said.

LA is as bad as we are.  Blashill has had no success coaching up any of the kids, players routinely underperform/regress under him.  Nuff is Nuff... time to part ways.

LA is playing bad but has superstar talent. They could easily turn this season around yet.

Blashill won at the AHL level, and this is an AHL team. He's great with kids... if you wanna win get a babcock
