I Love Larkin

Larkin leads all forwards in TOI/G at 21 mins a game.

The only other players averaging more time on ice are Cholowski and Green

The next highest TOI/G forward is Nielsen at 17 min a game.

Blashill is leaning HEAVILY on the D-Boss and he's putting up the points to justify it. Hoooo doggie

  • Point-per-game pace (14 points thru 13 games)
  • Playing big minutes (20:50)
  • Playing in all situations (3 power play points, 3 shorthanded points)
  • Showing well in the shot metrics (CF% = 55.42)
  • Winning faceoffs (52%)

Can't ask for much more than that.

"Negatives":

  • I'm not expecting him to maintain his point-per-game pace; he's currently shooting 14%, which is way above his career average of 9.2
  • He's spending a bit too much time in the box for my liking (PIM = 14)

So, yeah. From where I stand, that big contract he just signed is looking like a pretty good deal right now.

Would you Trade Larkin, Cholowski, + 2019 1st rounder for McDavid?

It's not team friendly tho.

Say we draft Hughes.

Larkin, Cholowski, and Hughes for McDavid?

As soon as I was done screaming into the phone in hysterical joy I'd politely accept your offer.  I'd then sign Erik Karlsson in the offseason, because why wouldn't he want to play with McDavid, and then win the Stanley Cup.
