Let's say we finish out the season dramatically outperforming expectations.  Say we just miss a playoff spot, but Larkin clearly establishes himself as a top line center, AA and Mantha are legit 20+ goal scorers, Cholo shows 1st pair skill, and Rasmussen looks solid.  And we know we've got Zadina, Veleno, Hronek, Saarijarvi, Berggren, McIsaac, and our first rounders from this year's draft coming.

Do you make a strong push for Quenneville then?

I'd make a strong push for a good coach. Not Joel Quenneville.

No because Blashill's coaching would have to be a key reason for this massive  over-achievement you have just referred to.

I'd see if Babcock is ready to admit he's wrong in his failed experiment in North Oakville

Despite the way I probably came off in that Quenneville thread, I'd be ok with talking to him right now. I just don't see it happening right now, because I don't think it makes sense for either side.

But, sure, if we go on to have a really respectable season (for a rebuilding team), I might push a little harder for him, and it might be a more attractive situation for him.
