If I see a middle-six winger on an expiring contract fetch a 1st, I might revise my opinion of the Nyquist deal. We'd have to retain salary I think, but Zuccarello busting his arm last night has made another forward trade possible. Nielsen to the Stars for a conditional 4th round pick. He came back to Detroit because he likes being in Detroit. I suppose he'd rather go out on his terms than be traded for a 3rd-round pick and play five minutes a night in the playoffs.
